Fellow Canadian here, and one from a much smaller town in a much smaller province, who had a hematologist appointment less than a month ago.
So, as many others have pointed out, no that's not true. You may be put on a waiting list, for sure, but they exist. Also, a fun fact, many of the newer doctor's offices can actually draw blood and do basic tests right there! There are also walk in resources like LifeLabs that you can literally waltz into with no appointment and have requested tests done.
So if you feel like you want to lie more about our healthcare system to try and weasel your way through things please be aware that along with actual doctors and Canadians on this site to disprove your claims.
And no, if "a person" (you, I'm talking specifically about you and people like you) purposely drained their own blood they certainly do not deserve it and are wasting it.
You don't gouge out your own eyes, demand a new donor pair and then gouge them out again expecting to always have a new set available every time you want to get mom and dad's attention.
You're knowingly and maliciously taking very precious resources away from people who actually need it and may die without it (that includes the blood and the doctor's time) and continue to do so with no thought of the consequences.
I mean, I guess this answers my first question about whether or not you feel guilt. I'd love an actual amount of people you've critically endangered with your attention seeking.
