As Tumblr subforum regulars may have noticed, Tumblr has a very large presence of LGBT bloggers of all stripes and worldviews. Tumblr also is a very female dominated platform, so a lot of these bloggers are lesbians and bisexual women (called wlw, or women-loving-women, for more inclusion points). For our purposes, we'll mostly be focusing on the lesbians here.
Now, we're all very well aware of the existence of the Cotton Ceiling, coined by trans activist and porn actor Drew DeVeaux, which TERFS will cite as proof that transwomen lesbians are all rapists who want nothing more than to stick their princess poles into lesbian pussy. After all, people's sexual orientation isn't a choice, and people can't help what bodies to which they're attracted. No TRUE and HONEST lesbian would ever try and pressure another woman into sex with them, right?

Enter the phenomenon of Nice Gals; or lesbians who will very loudly grumble about how too many women will date stupid, evil men instead of nice gals like them. This is different from political lesbianism in which the woman in question will only date women not because she's actually attracted to women, but as a way to spite men. Nice Gals, on the other hand, wish to convert straight and even bisexual women into being lesbians. "Wish" is the operative word here.
Like Nice Guys, they mostly like to complain about how all the girls they think are cute are dating men, who are dumb and ugly and evil and not pretty and nice like girls. These are the people who 15 years ago you would see wearing shirts that say "You're straight? So's spaghetti until you heat it up." They cannot talk about anything else besides how gay they are, or how they wish all girls were gay. They're absolutely shameless in living up to the "man-hating lesbian" stereotype, because all men are Chad Thundercocks as far as they're concerned. They may try to coax straight women into political lesbianism for their own benefit. They're the type of people who deny that women are capable of rape and flip out over statistics on domestic violence between lesbian couples. They are not necessarily TERFS, however, since lesbian transwomen can fall into this line of thinking as well. Basically, they're not much different from the clingy, desperate, sweaty neckbeards who creep on girls that aren't interested, except that they have a much more political bent to them. And they project their sexuality onto everyone and everything. Including cartoon characters.
It should be noted that obviously, they do not represent all lesbians, and lesbians can exhibit a few Nice Gal traits without being full-on Nice Gals.

I should hope that they support media that actually depicts lesbians with their money instead of just talking about how everything should just have them because they say so.
I'm sure it exists, but a lot of this kind of behavior is actually in person as opposed to online stalking stuff. It's girls who hear the joke "Every woman is three drinks away from being bi" and don't take it as a joke, but as an excuse to go full date rapist mode.
I'd be interested in hard data on these types, and how much of it's actually a power/control issue as opposed to actual sexual attraction. The dangerhair crowd loves to screech about how rape isn't about appearance and outfits, and is about opportunity and domination. They're pretty quick to ignore how aggressive and unhinged lesbians get if they ever have to hear the word 'no' though.
I'm sure there are testimonies of some chicks getting harassed by some crazy lesbian. The only problem is they'll be hard to find because "homophobia."
I wonder how well this actually works offline. I mean, do women, when approached by a Tumblr-style Valerie Solanas cosplay think, "Yeah, my last boyfriend did make a habit of farting in the car without rolling down the windows, maybe I should enter into a largely sexless but completely drama-filled and emotionally exhausting relationship with this plaid-wearing dangerhair because what could go wrong?" Surely some must or the nice gals wouldn't persist but then again nice guys are still thick on the ground despite a complete lack of success socially so...
Political lesbians and trans lesbians should date each other. Trans lesbians want to date lesbians who want dick and political lesbians call themselves lesbians even thought they secretly want dick. They also have a lot in common in that neither of them are lesbians but get really stupid and offended when people point that out. It's a perfect match.
