Im assuming that happens in the comics but like aint no way a Jet Fighter could kill homelander. Hes bulletproof right?

Well maybe a nuke.. But he could just yeet it back
The thing about the jets in the comics was that they were carrying a special anti-v missile that would destroy any supes regardless, and that gimmick was established rather early in the comics, but I don't know about the series.

And the imagery of a lone Butcher walking down to the white house loses all meaning in the series.

In the comics this was Butcher committing suicide. He wanted to at least have a crack on Homelander before the missiles destroyed him, but it was also Butcher's way to avoid having to go through his ultimate plan, including the Boys' purge. He was going to kill himself by hitting Homelander with a crowbar.

But shit went clone twist and Butcher was left with no choice but to go down the genocidal path.

That episode ends with Homelander blasting the clouds with lasers. And the Boys a few dozen yards away from him in an open field. Next episode begins with Homelander at the White House. And the Boys halfway across the country in a secret hideout. With no explanation for how they outran and escaped V1 Homelander. A time skip out of nowhere.
Yeah lasers = cool but why did Soldier boy make a 180 and give him the V1? Because of muh Clara, who he out of nowhere is deeply in love with? It would have been more interesting if Homelander fought Soldier boy or Bombsight for the V1, making it seem like he’s going to lose but then ends up winning in the end, taking the v1, shooting lasers into the sky and continuing to fight the supes while the boys escape.

It’s also really cool that he’s using his first moments as immortal to plan a theme park.

I saw Kripke said the choking out scene was Soldier boys last so it seems like he won’t be coming out of the cryo chamber until he’s in Mexico. Is Ackles seriously gonna be in both spin/offs?

I kind of liked how SB decided to fuck off because his son is just too weird. Even his abandonment was supportive, he encouraged his son.

Unfortunately, his son's defining trait is horrifying abandonment issues. As to the tube, I like how he was kind of smirking.

If that is a wrap for SB, Good. They haven't had shit for him to do in two seasons, that mansion fight reminded us he does know how to fight. I imagine the telefrag shit is something they actually did as a team, so him flipping that around was cool. But even that whole story was a WASTE OF FUCKING TIME.
