Most forums died, even with the more "alive" ones arent even close in active users/posts sometimes so everyone caves sooner or later. From what I understand in the last couple years Reddit has gotten very extreme in account moderation. You used to be able to sign up with no email for instance. However, now getting banned from a single subreddit will result in a shadowban or full ban. Basically, if your account is not old you could even be banned for gaining to much karma or other shit.
What I dont understand is I havent been able to keep an account for a week anymore, I had an old one that was shadow banned and made a new one to post/talk about some pc issues I had since using reddit without an account is AIDs. Ironically, fixed my issue but was shocked to find my account banned. I do not get how these bot farmers/super users keep their shit if real humans cant make an account unless my IP is considered too chuddy.

That's because reddit is retarded, and the people up against them (who are selling residential proxies with fingerprint emulation and whatnot to people who sell upvote packs etc.) are not as retarded.
If you get (shadow)banned you need to use a new IP with a new browser (fingerprint), if you just use a new IP with the old browser that IP gets flagged as well, and vice versa. Which is trivial to bypass if you own a botnet with residential IPs, but really annoying if you just get banned for saying a naughty word.

I'm too old man, I can't even comprehend the concept of bots on social media, especially discussion forums like reddit. One of my most vivid internet memories was seeing the Mars rover goodbye message memes on r/memes with 30k upvotes and more on the bus ride home. The meme economy subreddit was also an amazing concept which I've yet not seen anywhere else. It's truly depressing opening reddit and seeing an ask reddit post at the top with the shittiest title imaginable sitting at 0 upvotes and 60 comments.
Its very simple, bots cause engagement and spread the message that is wanted. Engagement means they make money by drawing people to it and scraping their information. Spreading the "right" opinion just supports the corporate line.
