While it's possible there's blackmail or money at play, I also think Chrissie is one of those people whose main instinct is to show retarded levels of loyalty to their in-group and only knows how to escalate in the face of criticism (that is to say, she's spiritually an Arab) because she thrives off of feeling persecuted.
 
I am dissatisfied with the stream. I think the main point was missed completely. Giving Chrissy MASSIVE "friendly" benefit of doubt (room to breathe) girls should have accepted her "explanation" for why Wednesday stream went the way it did but then enlighten her that during said stream Mel ambushed her, misused her, manipulated her and turned her into "oblivious Quartering proxy".

So now that everyone is telling her that she was a stupid tool for malicious Mel she can understand the real reason to apologize: for allowing herself to be an instrument on her own stream which Mel used to perpetuate lies. A literal accessory to the crime. This is indefensible in hindsight and has nothing to do with Chrissies intent (not wanting to freak her guest out), with Christianity, wedding or anything Chrissie kept repeating she is not apologizing for.

Now this is putting it tactically and seemingly gently but the purpose of it is to have Chrissy admit she played for the wrong team so to speak whether she intended to or not rather then to deflect from the fact that she did. Somehow Venti failed to express this to her, shame.

Also, Venti or somebody should have pointed out that she strategically didn't put "Quartering" in the stream title, and demand that she renames the stream so it shows up in searches. This was 100% calculated move.
