The scp format is a lot of fun. Very straightforward, easy template to fill.

SCP-KF2

Object Class: Safe
Containment Procedures: SCP-KF2 is to be locked up in a safebox.
Description: A photo album. Red faux-leather. Design is early 2000s. The photos within always correspond to the viewer and will depict them and their relatives and friends.

Several pictures in SCP-KF2 will divert from an accurate depiction of the viewers life.

Experimental Log Excerps:
M.C: Set of images from a childhood Christmas. Subject was 6 years old. Seen sitting on his fathers lap, opening presents. His father was deployed at the time.
P.P: Several images of subject's wedding. Subject was never married.
M.K: Images of subjects funeral, including several depictions of her husband and three children. The oldest child died last year, and this funeral appears to be an altered version of his.

All subjects have had a significant emotional reaction to their images. The last subject have become convinced the album shows an accurate depiction of an original reality which it alters to engender an emotional response. The Foundation believes this to be possible but unlikely. All tests have been suspended. Subject M.K have made repeated attempts to access the album and is currently incarcerated at site-[REDACTED]

Though the really great one probably takes tons of effort.

It's really fun for writing prompts, I'll admit that!
SCP-052-KF: "Lurk Moar Fgt"

Object Class: Euclid
Containment Procedures: SCP-052-KF is to be monitored by around three (3) "Jannies" with at least Level 2 clearance for 10 hours a day, switching around during intervals. Instances of SCP-052-KF-1 are to be given a pink triangle for continuous recognition.
Description: SCP-052-KF is a memetic hazard that manifests in new members (around the 2025-2026 range) of the site kiwifarms.st, wherein the user designated SCP-052-KF-1 will make various posts or replies that show heavy amounts of severe mental instability. Symptoms include but are not limited to multiple grammatical errors, caps lock, claims of wanting to commit violence against another user.

So far, SCP-052-KF doesn't appear to be contagious, only mildly irritating.

had to log back in to share these screenshots because I think the thread hasn't caught onto this whole stupid October/November "incident" and it's kind of funny in some parts.

imagine being so woke that you pull strings and get your three cis man buddies to ban a trans woman for saying that there shouldn't be "kill all men" jokes in the server because you're scared that they might delay your plans to make the entire modteam trans girls or whatever the fuck you're planning and you do not want your name on the ban record, just in case.

I would link the conversation but tbh I don't feel like writing up a whole thing, it really is that fucking stupid. if you wanna backread, join the official discord server and exercise some finesse, it's not that hard to pull up gems like the one below.

see you all in 6 month's time or whenever the next drama happens so I can make a vague post about it ✌️. peace.

and also whoever was that one guy (looked it up rn, GeorgeSmarty.) who wished me well after I logged off, I wish you well too. you should hop off this site and go work on your reports and writeups in a more respectable place. even a wordpress would be an upgrade lol.

seriously tho I remember you being too nice for this place, you are cool. I guess Local User is fine too.

This is just purely someone's fantasy and probably fetish. How do you go from getting your shit kicked in by anime girls and having body horror in the shape of an anime girl to then have a non-compulsory positive reception to something like this. It's really not selling the fiction when the researcher knows this but thinks the positivity reactions isn't the result of the SCP doing it.
top tier ragebait. either that or you have no idea how fucked up some people's idea of "fun" in videogaming is.

Why should we care about this? You gave no context.

In the latest issue of "The SCP Staff Continue to Fuck Shit Up"...
Because of the staff's lack of poor planning and autistic insistence on initiating 10K con on the 20th anniversary of the wiki, they have decided to kneecap anyone who doesn't have clout with the SJW-infested userbase. And of course, said clout-havers have decided to shamelessly support this abysmal policy.
Check out the angry response pieces!

it's funny how the leadership of the website is clearly anxious about the fading cultural relevance of the project, whilst clearly missing the reason why interest has been falling off.

nobody buys poetry anthology books these days. now, would a poetry anthology book that demanded at least 20 written recommendations for each poem to be included be better than one that did not? maybe, probably. but both would still sell zero copies!

Can someone help me find an scp? It was a cognitohazard poster featuring a blue skull (xray?) with some nonsense caption (something reddit-esque like "bone hurting juice"). I think it was made by gamers against weeds and eventually became neutralized.

Gamers Against Weed? You're better off not finding it

Keyword search didn't bring anything up, but searching on wikidot sucks in general, so that's not surprising. Closest I could find was 1083, but that's not a poster, it's a blue crystal skull.

If you think it's GAW, try searching the story hub: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/gamers-against-weed-hub/p/1

Not content with making new trash, they also remove old good stuff. They "update" older images. Here's SCP-013 for example, left was the original image, right is the trash they updated it with:

The old images are not stored in the page's history? If that's the case I may have actually found it already "cognitohazardous shitpost", but if I recall it didn't kill people and now the image is a shitty mspain meme.

You can't just go around using any old pictures. Using some random picture would mean it might not have been made bespoke for the article by an aspiring LGBTQIIASTD+ artist who needs the exposure! Worse, it could be stealing and violating someone's precious copyright!

The case of SCP-173 is well-known. The artist behind the original image, being a Japanigger, cannot conceive of art made through reuse or recontextualization since copyright is Very Serious Business in the east. I know that there was some effort to make a new picture for the article, which sucked so much that I guess at some point they decided to remove it and just not even have a picture at all.

Another example which bothers me is SCP-106. The original image, below left, is pretty great. Murky, grimy, and very gross. The New & Improved version, below right, is terrible.

One of the great things about some of these original SCP images is that they give this feeling that you don't quite know what you're looking at. It adds to the mysterious and scary nature of the project. They really give off the impression that you might be looking at something you're not really supposed to be seeing. It's possible that some of that is downstream from them often being repurposed from other art. One would think that anarchist types might have some appreciation for that kind of thing, but I guess not.

It does make me wonder what the people behind these changes think about genres of music like plunderphonics or vaporwave.

Vaporwave was made by a tranny so they probably all love it

Edit: So apparently the artist behind Floral Shoppe came out as a tranny in 2011, still doesn't mean that (she) was the sole contributor behind vaporwave as a genre.
Trannies are really big into genres of music that don't require any actual creativity or talent (vaporwave, nightcore, the 9 trillion other microgenres of "electronic music" thats basically just audio diarrhea with more effort put into the album cover and dumb names than into the actual music)
