It will pass for the 2028 election for sure, but for 2026 I don't think so. I think the Judges logic makes pretty good sense and they are running out of time. They need to rush and get a very compromised judge to get it passed this year, but after this year the state is fucked.

I haven't gambled on politics for a couple years now but if they were going to try to get me back into it it would be this Maine Senate election lol. Every time people underestimate how much people in Maine loves fence sitters. They love Angus King, who is basically just a bland democrat but can't go all the way and runs as an Independent because he calls himself a centrist, and Susan Collins, one of the most notorious and fence sitting "RINOs". Right now people are betting that Collins only has about a 30% chance to win, which is funny because it was exactly the same chance to win the betting markets gave her in 2020, in which she won by 8 percentage points despite Joe Biden winning by a bajillion votes. Not only that, she also survived Barack Obama's first election where John McCain got slaughtered in Maine. Obviously, things can change but I 100% think Susan Collins is going to waltz in and win again, my gambling muscles are twitching to say the least.
