Now that's what fucking power projection looks like. No need to invade, no need to threaten. We merely say "Oh, we don't like the way this sounds." And our ally, understanding that's a hint, goes "Oh well then let's see what we can't do about that," because we're the player with more cards in this situation, and we have a player at the table who's willing to play the whole game.

God, this is beautiful diplomacy.
A little more to add to this, explains why we dropped some money into their economy to keep him in power too.

We help you, you help us, it's a beautiful thing sometimes.

I’m pumping gas and it’s $4.29 a gallon. What the actual fuck? When is Trump suppose to fix these gas prices?
In theory, he COULD slash the federal motor fuel excise tax. But some states would only see a decrease of a few dimes per gallon.

Edit: looked into it more, some of it is state tax as well. Prez can’t touch that. Would easily be an impeachment, and they would be right to do so because of the 10th amendment.

I think we give the presidency too much credit. The balance of powers are pretty stable. Except for the judiciary, in my humble opinion

it's in the four and a quarter range by me too. Summer blend some of the price im sure, but it still sucks. should be 75 cents cheaper.

You’re right, but people have to realize that the mathematics work against them. They yearn for a leader who can fix problems by making declarations while a tide of sewage rises the prices of everything and makes them unsafe in their legislatures. Meanwhile the judiciary is actively invested it seems in having a war over the meanings of words and the spirit of the law.

You can’t have a republic or a democracy when the population is foreign, retarded, and/or apathetic. That’s the real cycle of empires as we are learning. People would rather give a president imperial power to fix the sins of their inaction.
