I've said it before, I'll say it again. Ohio is not a generic Red state, it's a Trump state. Ohio has suffered hard because of NAFTA and offshoring, maybe more than any other state. They've watched Democrats gleefully gerrymander states for decades, even up through COVID, and then proceed to DAVRO when the GOP in some states finally finds the balls to do the same thing right back at them. Especially when the information is already out there that red states are in a FAR better position to gerrymander by doing nothing more than drawing up normal geometrically shaped districts, with Democrats accurately represented by their urban archipelagos. Meanwhile, the Democrats have to resort to drawing up the most retarded looking maps of that kind that would make ex-Soviet roachistan nations blush, with representatives who only advocate for the very small sliver of blue voters that actually give them their political power.
