Shira Rose appears to be one of the delusional histrionic types that considered a healthy weight "anorexia". Here she writes that although her body didn't "look like the typical anorexic" she was in fact suffering the disease.
She gives off deeply insecure fat kid of privilege vibes. Her mom probably tried to get her to lose some weight and that didn't help things one way or another. Her family might be Hasidic as well, which yea, never had a chance.

Having been to Kauai- Shira is too fat to experience all it has to offer. It’s less crowded and more outdoorsy than other islands. She won’t be able to zip line or ride horses, and depending on how fat her partner is, a helicopter trip may also be out (weight and balance).
But, I didn’t come here to dissect Shira, but rather to mention something that’s really bugging me now.
About a year ago, Minneapolis passed a city ordinance to ban weight discrimination in hiring, retention, firing, and housing.
At that time, I was too busy flailing after making a new life for myself, but I was very annoyed, having already lost a good amount of weight. Has anyone else posted about this closer to when it happened? As someone who’s worked in Minneapolis, I think this ordinance is an awful idea, but I don’t know how it’s carried out.

Well, as a very short woman with probable disabilities (between my ex and the Amerexit, likely PTSD), it really bothers me that the fatties passing this through also included height and disability discrimination. Don’t lump people with real problems in with your dumb, undisciplined self.
Also, I have stories of working with a very fat coworker that no one wanted to offend or seem to discriminate against if anyone wants to hear. Some are very gross! Unsure if it warrants a thread or where to put them.

They also recently compiled and shared a new makeup/going out video sans Katie. I think Steph is a pretty girl naturally, but this just isn't a good look on her. The bright red lipstick + dress clash weirdly with her skintone and hair, and she doesn't have the je ne sais quoi to pull it off. Sarah's make-over is the best to me. She actually looks pretty and if she dropped 100 pounds she'd look her age (the middle aged-mom bangs aren't doing her any favors though). Deanna looks decent makeup-wise but the orange/yellow eyeshadow and toddlers & tiara blue dress is...a choice!
