I'll never understand people who take a combination of downers and uppers (another similarity he has with Rekieta), like haven't you just taken a round trip to your original state, except now you have two drugs duking it out for control of your mood? Isn't that just reality but worse?

Usually it's a timing thing. Uppers in the morning to wake you up and get you going, then you're too buzzed at night to sleep so you take downers to sleep. Then your too sluggish in the morning so you take uppers and around you go. It is a retarded pattern but then again junkies are retarded. I think some also do it for a combo of the "fringe benefits" of their two drugs.
