I'd be willing to wager if you could catch and halt all charity fraud in the US across the board, you could literally balance the national budget and cut every American (and fuck it, every illegal too) a fat check for their trouble. You wouldn't believe how much bullshit fraud happens via the classic American "non-profit charity organization."

It cracked me up when the IRS suddenly hired a metric fuckton of new agents a few years ago. That made quite a few people nervously tug at their collars. After ICE, I think having a properly-staffed and adequately unshackled IRS performing its original, actual function of investigating tax fraud would fix a LOT of America's financial problems. Even if there's no effort to make arrests or prosecute crimes, and it just focuses on halting the fucking FLOOD of cash into undeserving pockets, we'd all be much more flush with cash.
