Trump is screwed. Israel violates ceasefires and treaties before the ink dries and what a coincidence, they violated the current ceasefire with Lebanon on numerous occasions. Iran is not going to trust a single thing Trump says and why should they. Plus Iran has no incentive to agree to Trump (read: Bibi) and his insane and stupid demands like no nuclear enrichment or shit that intentionally weakens themselves so Israel can fuck with them more. Realistically Bibi is going to have to be the one who backs down from all this. Let’s be real, that just isn’t going to happen. So we’re in it for the long haul until Trump grows some balls and stands up to Bibi. Not gonna hold my breath on that anytime soon.

Not comparable. Floyd was killed by a cop who is an asset of the state. Kirk got a taste of the unfortunate consequences of gun ownership, as he would have put it.
If Kirk was killed by a cop despite telling them that he can't breathe and all, then Whites burning down the police station is 100% justified. Rioting and looting businesses isn't, but any mass protests globally had that element. Let it be the mass anti-Japanese protests in China or BLM riots. It's bizarre because there's so many ways to explain his actions even if it were real. Humans are highly intelligent, such that our brains can allow us to rationalise literally everything. That's how despite high IQ, the leaders of ISIS did horrific shit and justified it.

Trump is a narcissist that cannot stand being seen as a loser. Unfortunately, he has not achieved any of his strategic objectives of regime change, seizing the Iranian uranium, and putting a permanent end to enrichment. Instead, Iran has made a strategic gain by asserting control of the Strait of Hormuz. Trump isn't above trying to spin a loss into a win, such as by focusing on the casualties inflicted on Iran and claiming the killing of old leaders means the regime has changed. However, no one other than the most diehard sycophants and worshipers are falling for that crap. If it were just up to Trump, he would continue the blockade indefinitely and escalate the offensive with boots on the ground and additional bombing until he can turn the loss into some kind of win.

But it is not just up to Trump. May 1st is the end of the 60 days granted by the War Powers Act. While US voters generally don't care about a President flinging ordnance, they do care about their pocketbooks, and Iran's clampdown on the Strait has created very tangible price increases that will only get worse over time. Trump's failure to build any support in Congress or amongst the US population as a whole before starting the war contributes to its unpopularity. The Congressional Republicans don't want to be seen as traitors to Trump, so they have let the 60 days run. They also know that surviving a primary is useless if there is no hope of winning the general, so they will ultimately force Trump's hand.

Iran may eventually be forced to the table if the blockade is in place for long enough, but I think Iran's leaders can hold out for at least several more weeks and potentially many months. I expect Congress to give in to public pressure before Iran gives in to the blockade. Congress will pass a concurrent resolution ordering Trump to end the war, probably in May or June. I suspect Trump will comply because it will give him a convenient excuse to walk away from the war. "I was winning the biggest win in the history of wins, but the RINO panicans forced us to lose the war! We would have owned Iran's oil, nuclear 'dust', shared tolls on the straight of Trump, but the traitors in Congress gave it all away!" Etc.
