Well, Soulsborne fans. I'm sorry. It looks like Sony is going to do a Bloodborne movie with Jacksepticeye as the producer. Out of all of the YouTubers you could possibly have do this, Jacksepticeye is probably the WORST one of them. He's bent the knee to the woke mob at every turn in the past, and he's now in working with scumbags who will absolutely be out to break him and want him to fail. He's proven time and time again to be weak of spirit and character and incapable of handling any kind of pressure. On top of that, he's out of his element and dealing with American corporate scumbaggery is not something he's used to. This is probably the worst possible outcome and timeline, because this movie's all but guaranteed to fail now. Maybe, I'm calling this prematurely but I have no faith in Jacksepticeye.

If this movie fails, Bloodborne is DONE. There will never be a Bloodborne 2, and unless it's already in the works, there probably won't even be a remaster. (For at least quite some time.)

As for the bloodborne film, it's doomed. Sony ignores years of pleas and requests from games and even insiders and journalists to make a simple patch that takes 2 lines of code or outsource a port to fromsoftware, as we learned is possible,

I think Sony deep down really, really hates Bloodborne and by some extension Fromsoftware. Not just because they can't legally do a remake but because it doesn't mesh with all of their established and heavily promoted IP's. Bloodborne is not like Horizon or TLOU: God of War Edition. The sad thing is none of this has to be this way. Sony owns Demons Souls and Bloodborne, if they wanted to they could promote the mascots and aesthetics from both games to garner some goodwill and show they still care.

Yeah, they hate FROM so much that they bought a chunk of FROM and a chunk of Kadokawa, who owns the rest of FROM.

Sony owns Demon's Souls outright and Bloodborne is jointly owned by Sony and FROM, so neither side can do anything with it on their own. BandaiNamco owns Dark Souls, does that mean they hate FROM?

Finally beat Bloodborne after playing it for a few weeks on the shadps4 emulator.

I think its definitely better than any of the Dark Souls games, at least it was good enough that I beat the DLC too. With both DS2 and DS3 I beat the last boss, had no desire to dive into any of the DLC and never will. Fuck the chalice dungeons though, I did the first one, thought it was a boring concept and have no interest in them.

Gameplay wise I still think Sekiro is the much better game. I can see where they were trying to go with BB and it culminated with the gameplay of Sekiro but BB itself still feels like a diamond in the rough in some way. Like they want you to be more aggressive and have the rally system, but most enemies and bosses can wipe you out in a couple of hits and they give you a shitload of vials to compensate. Maybe if they replaced the vials with something different and increased the effectiveness of the rally it would not have felt like the game was trying to fight itself half the time and shake off the DS DNA.

Not sure if I would put it above Elden Ring personally. BB is a much tighter experience and I prefer the setting but there is just a lot more to do and much more variety in ER. Though I might give a different answer depending on when you asked me. If it was 20 hours into ER I would have said I like it more than BB but after playing through the whole of ER I would have to think about it. ER kind of collapses in on its own weight towards the end and there is too much repetition.

The emulator is pretty solid by the way, I had a handful of crashes but the autosave is good and it never led to any loss of progress, I just reloaded and was righ back where I was before the crash.

Is it some sort licensing issue? AC6 was by far the most popular AC game so you'd think they'd at least port the original and maybe 2 and 3 if they do well enough. They can't be expensive or hard. Man I wish the AC community was as autistic as the Sonic one since the fans made that recompile of Unleashed for PC.

We would have ports if the saga wasn't split between companies both half dead and SEGA (4). They are in a worse situation than bloodborne is copyright wise and middleware or middlemen wise.
