He'd been out of that industry for almost a decade and there was a ton of bad press about him online, so anyone with a HR department was probably going to take one look at that and dump him. Unless he went back to one of the companies he used to work for or one of his old managers was willing to bring him onto something (Apparently when he moved to Corpus Christie for his wife's job the manager let him work remote and covered for him by saying he was coming back) I don't think he'd be able to return to IT.Why bother? Why risk it? He had an existing (pre-internet-fame) career in an unrelated field, which presumably he was able to merge back into without his RT antics following him.
