Why bother? Why risk it? He had an existing (pre-internet-fame) career in an unrelated field, which presumably he was able to merge back into without his RT antics following him.
He'd been out of that industry for almost a decade and there was a ton of bad press about him online, so anyone with a HR department was probably going to take one look at that and dump him. Unless he went back to one of the companies he used to work for or one of his old managers was willing to bring him onto something (Apparently when he moved to Corpus Christie for his wife's job the manager let him work remote and covered for him by saying he was coming back) I don't think he'd be able to return to IT.

According to LinkedIn, he's still working in IT.

He goes by his first name now, James, and shortens his last name to just H. On the "More profiles for you" side, we have:

Even though Ryan removed RoosterTeeth from his past experiences, I imagine LinkedIn algorithm keeps him connected to his past contacts.

so what the fuck do you say when people obviously go uhhhhhh you did nothing for 9 years? Like, hiding it makes it more jarring, but you can't say it, so what's the winning move here? Some people are gonna look at that and just skip you off it looking so odd.

Is it possible he just did the "I worked for a media company but had to sign an NDA due to the projects we worked on"? He probably knew someone at the new job thought that helped get him in.

Adam didn't delete his RoosterTeeth and Machinima experiences from his LinkedIn profile. And sure he was only catfished and didn't fuck any fans.

Also the fact that both Ryan and Adam still have their last names in the address bar.

Ray? He saw the writing on the wall and got out early (though he was pushed to some extent). Also, he wasn't drunk.

Then again EUCALYPTUS.
Ryan was the most learned, Ray was the wisest. Got out early, didn't fuck up his life, didn't let one job define his entire life, he's doing pretty good.

Even the gordita he married is loyal, isn't trans, doesn't have an OF, and isn't insane. That's more than anyone else from the original cast can say about their wives.

Ryan's wife seemed normal but she also took back a cheater so she's a little retarded.

I love that Griffon is now using another made up last name despite the fact that when she and Geoff got married she demanded that they create the name Ramsey so she wouldn't have to be the second Mrs. Fink. Guess that OF money isn't bringing in what she needs. Does she get alimony?

Also, Laurie using H instead of Haywood, guess it confirms she's still with him or was too lazy to go back to her maiden name when they got divorced.

Her maiden name is Higginbotham

Maybe she stayed with Ryan because she's a retard who also likes pitt bulls.

If Ryan was good at risk assessment, this thread would be hundreds of pages shorter.
