That's always what's been sad about older cows (Hirtes, Shaner, etc). At a stage of life where most folks are looking forward to retirement in their last few years of work, watching their children go off on their own, and generally enjoying life, these speds are spending the majority of their waking hours arguing with people on the internet. Shaner in particular has always operated on a bizarre 10 a.m. - 4 a.m schedule, like 18 hours a day spent screeching at his perceived enemies. I'd be willing to be that if Hirtes content post times was looked at, they'd be all day events too, ranging from ridiculous a.m. to post lunch hour weekday times, when normal people who have jobs can't post.

Yeah it's my understanding usually this is one of the happiest times in life because it's when the fruits of a lifetime of labor and/or child rearing ripen and before most are dealing with life-ending health issues.

Then you have these schmucks that are only reaping what they sowed for the last thirty years.
 
I feel like we should have a comprehensive sticky thread about every a-log in the history of KF.

Mostly because the majority of the people mentioned here aren't familiar to me, since I joined in late 2015.

Late 40s and early 50s is also a time where looking back hits hard because its almost too late to make some things happens, like children or a successful career. Maybe some sense of despair is fueling a lot of the acting out.

That's a really good theory actually, looking back at a lifetime of complete and utter failure has got to be depressing as fuck. Being ignored/disowned by family, shunned/banned from communities online and elsewhere that they want to be a part of, not just for a few years, but decades. Having absolutely nothing to show for 50+ years on the planet other than screeching at people and being a sped would probably be thrown into sharp relief when looking at other cows and realizing that they're simply an embodiment of yourself, whom, in the back of your mind you utterly loathe.

Well, we care at least. Though not for the reasons he wants. And even then, he'd be pretty smalltime if it weren't for the fact that he's been at it for decades.
