Crime D4vd Arrested for Murder of Celeste Rivas - Groomer turned baby mama murderer finally gets comeuppance

Singer D4vd has been arrested for the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who was found dead in Hollywood in the trunk of his Tesla in September.

According to the LAPD, D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was arrested by the Robbery-Homicide Division for the murder of Hernandez and is being held without bail. The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office on Monday for filing consideration.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed they were investigating a trip the 21-year-old took to the Santa Barbara area sometime during the spring of 2025 following Hernandez’s death. A spokesman for the musician said in September that he was “fully cooperating with authorities,” though as of Nov. 18 NBC Los Angeles reported Burke was no longer cooperating with law enforcement.

Officers were called to a tow yard on Sept. 8 following reports of a foul odor coming from the car, which had been on the property for several days. Police found a dismembered body that had been placed inside of a bag in the front trunk of the vehicle.

The car was registered in Hempstead, Texas to Burke and impounded after being abandoned in the Hollywood Hills, where neighbors complained of a rotting smell. As of Sept. 9, the case was being treated as a death investigation.

Hernandez was reported missing from her home in Lake Elsinore, Calif., last year. She was last seen in April 2024, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. After her body was found, police said that because a manner of death had not been determined.

Shortly after the discovery, Burke quietly canceled his U.S. tour and postponed the promotion of his deluxe album.

It's still legal in the state but California placed a moratorium on it several years ago because racism and poverty (yes really). Capital punishment trials are more expensive, so there's little incentive for a county to spend all that money on a sentence that will most likely get commuted to a life term in the next few years when Commiefornia inevitably abolishes the death penalty.

Yeah seems like the prosecution's case will be that Celeste's murder was premeditated because she was going to expose him for being a groomer pedophile. Motive was to "save his music career" because apparently, being a pedophile groomer murderer is less career ending than being a pedophile groomer. And 40 TB of evidence? They must have been combing social media, twitch, messaging apps for everything they could get on him and his relationship with Celeste. I hope something happens to those disgusting Discord mod faggots who knew and covered it up too. I'm guessing they were able to recover whatever got DFE'd on his discord server during discovery.

220 days from the time her remains were found in the frunk of his Tesla (9/8/2025) till the time of his arrest (4/16/2026).

40 TB of discovery and the Defense claims to barely have received any of it. They're really going to be shooting in the dark here.

I also noticed that D4vd's attorney solely refuted the murder charge's allegations, I'm gonna bet the angle the Defense tries to take is basically going to be "Yes, our client, David Anthony Burke, is a pedophile, and yes he did frequently molest Celeste Rivas Hernandez, BUT he didn't kill her! Yup, while he did take her innocence, he totally didn't take her life! That would be too depraved!"

They'll likely try and get him 6-8 years for lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under the age of 14 in the same way Diddy got 4~ years for prostitution in his sex trafficking/RICO trial.

Hopefully the prosecution pulls out all the stops to get him locked up forever.

Newsom leaves office in 2027 (he's term limited as governor), D4vd's trial likely won't happen until next year considering how slow the legal process is. There's a chance that whoever replaces him lifts the moratorium.

Personally, I think the Death Penalty is too quick and too kind for him. He should live the rest of his life rotting in a cell, knowing that he fucked up a blossoming music career full of potential because of his pedophilic, murderous obsession with a middle school girl.

Him getting to live another 10-15 years awaiting his execution and exhausting appeals is less satisfying, since he knows that his suffering has a definite end via lethal injection rather than somewhere 50-60 years down the line, long after he's lost his sense of time, dementia-addled and drooling in the hospital ward of the concrete purgatory he had long forgotten was a prison as his mind slowly slips away into the abyss.

He'll spend the rest of his adulthood years dodging the crude shanks of latino inmates trying to exact revenge for his crimes against one of their own, getting his back blown out by bigger cellmates in return for protection and longing every day wishing he hadn't thrown his fame and fortune to try and avoid the consequences of him seeking quick gratification by grooming a girl from the age of 11 and killing her at 14.
 
I remember the thread from last year that had a lot of evidence that Celeste was living with this guy. Apparently people had even reached out to the mom and she was like "yeah she's with him whatever"

Poor kid had absolutely nobody looking out for her. Her mom, sister and friends all let her be taken by this guy and did nothing till it was too damn late.

One of her last known messages were to a friend about how she needed to get out...only to be followed by messages suggesting D4vd did the whole "baby I swear I'll never beat you again" ploy to lure her back.

A life sentence isn't as bad as people think it is. This isn't the Philippines where they are locked up 30 man a cell in the humid tropics with a single shit bucket to share. Him being high profile would lead to special protections, he will still have groupies writing him, he will make friends and establish routines, he could have a cellphone smuggled in and start doing music again. It will suck for the first few years, but things will be the new normal and with how "forgiving" California is, he could still have a chance at freedom. As for the pedo stigma, I don't think fucking a middle schooler is as big a deal with black inmates (a good chunk probably hooked up with young girls too) than white inmates.

It's not that it isn't career-ending. Even if David didn't kill her, she would've just been seen as a liar. Did you see how hard his fans defended him when her corpse was found? If they're willing to go that far, it's not unlikely Celeste wouldn't have gotten justice.
