Sharing some more context for the curious from being there for most of it. I don't disagree with you, the weird anime gooner stuff is probably enough of a nail in the whole thing to seal it. Didn't dig through all her favorites but I skimmed the thread originally, listened to the MATI review, it sounds pretty over.

I'm just sad to see a poster go who, as far as I'm aware from coming across her posts, positively contributed to the forum. That's not to say it wasn't warranted, it's just a shame nonetheless. Communities fray and come apart from purity testing and gatekeeping, but at the same time it's necessary to an extent - I sure wouldn't want enough gooners on the site that it became a popular opinion that we SHOULD have a porn thread somewhere, so you have to draw a line.

I think ultimately there's no perfect way to do it, and you have to accept that sometimes sacrifices get made one way or the other. Would I rather keep more quality posters if it meant having an Anime Feet Rating thread? Null probably does about the best job I could hope for in keeping things straight.

Darn shame.
