Again, I might have the wrong guy but as I recall:
He was very quiet and soft spoken, and instead of sending them a butthurt scathing DM or siccing fans on them would just give the artist a "I am wanting this to be an all-ages comic and I don't want Florence with shitting dick nipples being the way new readers learn about my comic. I have no intention of forcing you to remove this image, but I would appreciate it if you'd take this image down or make it less visable. If you won't do either of those, would you please not draw any more of them?"
I would also wager the fact he was/is friends with Eric Schwartz probably helped encourage degenerates to look elsewheres.

Dave Simpson, even more he trooned out, was an obnoxious cockbag who was cramming his shaving fetish into the comic, so calling out other porn artists was sort of disingenuous of him and I doubt was polite about it, so I can see people drawing more porn just to piss him off.


Along those lines. I remember there being a webcomic about an anthro fox girl who crash landed in a UFOin some guys back yard. The comic was a usual "fish out of water and we need to keep the government from sending the disection squad", with the nosy neighbor they needed to keep tricking.
I remember this one because I looked up the artist to see if they did any other comics, and running right into the huge quantity of straight up porn he drew of the characters in said comic, predating the comic itself.
anyone know what I'm taking about?

I guess its technically a "shaved" fetish. But he crammed this into O&M about once a year, and crams it into his syndicated strip as well.

It seems that when it doesn't have to be cleaned up for the strips the magical loss of the hair goes away. I dunno I'm not his therapist.

Yeah it is incredibly obvious once you realize it. I remember during O&M's run Noticing(tm) that it really stood out, especially in such a G-rated strip, but more in a "I guess its proper continuity as Ozzy does it every year but that's a really odd thing to have continuity on" way until someone presented evidence of what ol' Dave was flogging the dolphin to. And then it clicked.

There's razor shit everywhere, but it's not what I'd consider sexual, so I think there's some sort of plausible deniability on Dave's part that it's a fetish. He could easily argue it's just a gag with that specific character. That's the hard part with these weird fetishes that are so far removed from normal human sexuality; until actual genitals are involved or it's presented in a 'sexy' way, there's always a chance it's "just a gag" (or that at the very least the artist can argue it's just a gag and seem legit.)

I was looking for some archive of the so-bad-that-it's-good furry comic, "Dreaming of Utopia" by Mark Savary. The official website is down, domain expired, but there are some pages on the Facebook page:

This image is an edit made by one of the friends of the person who reviewed DoU on the Bad Webcomics Wiki to make a point of how the comic would look if the fur suits in the comic looked like IRL fur suits instead of mimicking the persons expressions for no in universe reason.
