That was the Old Testament and the old covenant. The Jews fell out of favor with God. We follow the new covenant now, which is why there is a New Testament instead of just... the Testament.

Yes, He was petty and vengeful before. He is not anymore. Everyone can turn a new leaf including God. We're made in His image, after all.

I'm not saying they'll treat Christians better because they Jesus is officially seen as a prophet, they can and often do dislike them on the basis that Christianity rejects Muhammad and embraces the divinity of Christ. Many countries in the Middle East persecute non-believers and have blasphemy laws. Tucker Carlson's latest statement can be added to the list of absurdities he has made in recent memory.

It's because he's not here to argue points in good faith.
