Man, at this point I'm now convinced that anybody that cries about Rippaverse or Manga calling either or both of them low quality is saying it out of spite at this point in time.

Considering all three are not good people, I don't care what damage they do to each other....EVS is a POS that is pretty much the combination between the quartering and DSP now, Tommy fuck boy is just as bad and I could care less what happens to him....as for Mike Wheeler, I have heard he is a known doxxer so.....if he has all the information involving him, odds are it's the truth.

Richard has taken to yelling at his handful of remaining viewers again. One of them tried to make a point about physical comics disappearing as impulse purchases from retail spaces and digital zoomer Ya Boy Zack went after him hard.

This is the same Richard who not so long ago was totally against the entire concept of digital comics and refused to even consider selling digital versions of his own comics. Digital comics at that time were just wrong and a crime against nature. I didn't bother checking, but I would assume he STILL isn't selling digital comics.

The "for free" comment is really interesting in that I would take it as confirmation that these days Richard is a pirate site reader who doesn't pay for any comics. That he is using the pirate sites for more than doing online reviews.

And one of Richard's remaining fans non-ironically said that the real problem today is that comics just cost too much. With no seeming awareness of how much more Richard's own comics cost than normal comics.
 
The comic book industry generally has been slow to adjust to new trends and ideas. How long did it take them to do collected and omnibus releases?

Based on the way he sells comics, where they are positioned as expensive, premium collectables, he wouldn't sell them digitally. He'll leave that to slaves like Mangaka and Eric July. I think he still exclusively sells comics via crowdfunding campaigns, except I don't think he does that any more. Basically he's transitioned into... well whatever the Hell we'd call what he's doing now. Pop-culture critic, maybe?

He's talking about marketing comics to new readers, not pirate sites serving them up to 50+ year old readers who already like them. I didn't get comics at a comic shop as a child, my parents would sometimes buy them for me off the periodicals rack at more general purpose stores. It's true that nowadays comics are probably being pirated on tablets, but so what? If they don't make money that isn't valuable to their publishers.

I do buy comics for my eReader but I'm an old man who already likes comics, exactly the kind of reader Richard hates and wishes would "go away."

As I stated before, comic companies are generally slow to adopt new ideas and comics generally come pretty slowly as well (though the same can be said for people in Comicsgate). I for one, find it incredibly offensive. I could drive three hours west, visit the graves of two of my great-great-grandparents, six of eight of my great-grandparents, my maternal grandparents, a great-aunt, then visit two of my aunts and uncles, multiple cousins (and cousins once removed), visit one aunt and uncle on the way to everything aforementioned, drive back, get a shower, drink an entire bottle of brandy, pass out on my bed, wake up, and they wouldn't be done finishing an entire page. Meanwhile, single chapters of manga were released, fan translated, uploaded, and then read by the time I wake up after all of this. Then Eric July announces and releases a new product.

You could do more than that. Ethan's page creation rate in comicsgate is about 1.3 pages per month.

I like how he lies so shamelessly. I don't see Eric's fans obsessing over his skin color, but I do see EVS obsessing over him for 4 years and counting. If I were him I would give it a rest, he has BIGGER things to worry about right now. Also calling people SJW after the way he's been acting totally lost its meaning by now. 🙄 He knows it's true btw, a black man outperformed him. His trashcast crap is proof of that especially the video images.

He is referring to us noticing he is actually a racist. He wants to call Eric slurs but he knows his "I am not racist BUT" grift will crumble and take with it what little credibility CG has managed to retain. Namely, the fact that they are not the bigots the MS media said they were is the only fact they have. Once they are exposed, nothing will remain.

Oh it's been proven, people in it just don't care. They are everything they say there against, and at this point they're pretty much proud of it. They will still deny it, but they know.

True but the MS media has not taken advantage of that. They hate EVS and Eric equally and thus they will not pay close attention. Also, they cannot admit that they had no reason to call CG racist for years before without real proof.

The 200 plus trashcast profile pic on the videos portraying Eric July as a primate wasn't enough? Doesn't take a genius to see that he has a problem with him because of that reason among many others. And speaking of Rippaverse, why do people keep calling it generic? I mean calling it generic because it doesn't subvert everything, is like complaining a Western has cowboys and outlaws. The genre has rules; Rippaverse plays by them on purpose. Plenty of readers prefer that to the 'not your dad's heroes' approach that turned a lot of people off mainstream books. People paid for classic superhero stories, and that's what they got..... By their definition all comics are generic, because nothing's original anymore, and the superhero formula is always going to be the same.

Edit: I know nobody said that on here "well that I could see anyway" but I'm just wondering what people expect from them. They were promised classic superhero stories and that's what they gave.... And it's not just superhero stories they're making either now.
