You aren't missing out on anything with both games. I bought Signalis without any knowledge of the fanbase but all I saw was steam reviews saying it was a good resident evil like survival horror game. Got halfway into the game and uninstalled. I am convinced these people that say said indie game is "X,Y" like have never played the games they are referencing and are probably lore tards that play games on easy mode and say its a masterpiece. I always end up going back and completing the original RE.

I like the indie scene but man people talk about the AAA scene always being bad but the Indie I think is worst with these creatures worming into everything.

This is why when a new game appears i let it sit until i can get accurate information. The recommendations will always try to compare games to something more successful, beloved and popular in order to fish for your approval since these people know that comparing it to something you might know or like will pass some of your checks. Plus, with RE9 it's more or less proven most of the game audience today are tourists.

Overall games are becoming as stale and shitty as mainstream media, specially due to narrative and writing beyond injecting politics. In some cases far worse than the AAA scene. But a lot of people are too proud to admit it.

You gain nothing specifically marketing to them because usually it comes with alienating a wider spectrum of people and them not realizing that there's not a lot of them to actually make something successful

The problem is that a lot of CEOs or marketing retards cannot grasp this and think that catering to the "wider audience" will be something with no downsides and only profits since you are raking money from more people. They cannot understand why injecting fags or trannies in a game might tick off but it usually flies over the head of the average leftoid dev/marketing team since they will think it's completely inane and it might get trannies and fags on board when they are not worth the effort pandering to.

So a few weeks ago I got this video recommended to me:

And I thought “oh cool this seems interesting, Death Stranding but you're in a tank” but since it has the typical low-poly artstyle and some anime character portraits I got a bit suspicious. So I checked out this guy's his other videos on the game and uh...

The thumbnails honestly speak for themselves and I only skimmed through a few of these videos but from what I understand: this guy thought Death Stranding was cool and also happens to really like the anime Girls Last Tour, which is about two girls who drive around in a threaded vehicle (it's not a tank afaik) in a post-apocalyptic world. There's also a lot of snow in it, just like in this game.

Unfortunately said anime and it's manga have a very large tranny fanbase because it's le hecking depressing with le mysterious worldbuilding and it's about two girls (omg theyre just like us!!), and knowing how much some troons like military stuff the guns and shit probably help too. So the annoying fans of said anime immediately started flocking to this game once they noticed the similarities (and even more after he started putting the main characters of the show in his videos/thumbnails, and also the female NPCs from the game since they were inspired by said show).

Also very unfortunately, after this guy made his first video on his game he decided to open a Discord in which people immediately started posting NSFW fanart and memes and more yurislop because of course.

Again I've only really kind of skipped through the videos but from what I understand he made the main character a guy but made his name Yuri as a joke and there's a woman with you in the tank. Also he got an artist from Voices of the Void (another game with a very big troon following) to do the art of the characters.

Them being here isn't indicative of anything but it mostly has to also do with them being a self centered audience. They think they are owed splitting off and being treated differently while saying they should be treated equally. They constantly get mad about things made for and by them not selling to wider audiences when there's no appeal to wider audiences but again it's irony when they don't want to be included with the wider audience and will try to pretend something is "for them" if it does have slight troonery in it that they pretend to see.

You're right, the fanbase is mostly just annoying anime reddit/Discord people but those kind of blend together with trannies in my mind nowadays... It does still feel to me at least like there's relatively more tranny fans than your average anime, and it's the same with tkmiz's art in general. It's especially bad with the manga he last worked on, Shimeji Simulation, which somehow seems to have an even worse fanbase than GLT in that regard (which is also about 2 girls except they're in middle/high school)
