Some finance Jews got together and realized it's still possible to afford a car if you go back a decade or two and they also last longer than today's shit due to better components. Luckily ethanol is here to support the chosen people!

You can't burn water, so if there is ethanol in your gasoline, and it absorbs water, the water either stays in your gas tank or makes your engine stop running or at least run like total shit. Note that water is denser than gasoline, so it sits at the bottom of your tank.

The primary reason I hate ethanol in gasoline is because ethanol is far less energy dense than gasoline, so as Johnny said you get less miles per tank than if you used 100% gasoline.
