My post is literally telling you to voteban and bully lolicons from the server if you don't like them.

It only works if the people in-question aren't cockroaches that will keep endlessly encroaching on your space. E.g. Cyber (one of the infamous Castaway loliniggers) got caught spraying lolicon once and would get subsequently kicked, only for him to keep returning and continue spraying on multiple other occasions while being kicked over and over again. It stopped after Random implemented the "unprotected content" rule (made in direct response to him) that prohibits kicking if nothing has been displayed, and he continues to regularly play on Castaway.

That's not also taking into account the possible scenario of your server getting overrun by undesirables to the point it's hard to votekick, and now it's been co-opted (if the admin refuses to do anything and just let the server be whatever culture that intrudes). We live in a time where it's not quite as easy to simply bully faggots away as it used to be, many are hellbent on intruding and subverting.

This story just makes it sound like Castaway is populated by people who either are lolicons or don't care about porn sprays at all. I would ask if they even know he is spraying it since sprays are now toggled off by default. If you go "This guy is spraying loli" in chat the server would probably join you in votebanning him because it's funny (or maybe they wouldn't, I have never played there to know.)

How is it that TKGP has a mod team and community that PERMANENTLY BANS people that post gore/loli/zoo sprays within minutes (though they do allow porn sprays) but you all think it's not possible to enforce rules? It's a fucking video game server, you can force your community to suck your dick to not get banned and it doesn't fucking matter. It's a private space and telling people you have a zero-tolerance policy on these sprays isn't a violation of shit. Literally the only people who would have a problem are just lolicons that want to be allowed to post their shit on the walls

TF2 is an old game. Part of the appeal is how moderation is community-led and otherwise doesn't exist. Don't tell me it's not. Plenty of people hate the overbearing moderation present in newer games so they end up here. Even Reddit comments echo this, and those guys love overbearing moderation.

The problem is if this place made a server you are going to run into the same problem as every other server: people who spam goatse, hentai or other objectionable material because they find annoying people funny. You can ban them and levy complaints as the latest No Fun Allowed server, putting you in the same box as places like Uncletopia, who you aren't going to steal players from. Or you can begrudgingly tolerate it and now we're back at square one with certain people being an annoying infestation. Worse, those people you don't like will be ostensibly attached to this thread's inhabitants. Kiwifarms transforms into Salem when it comes to certain breeds of cow so if that happens I hope your post history is nothing but "KILL LOLICONS" because that's the only thing that will save you.

This is why I don't believe there's some straightforward fix. It's always the same problem. If you crave liberty eentually you are going to run into a group of people you find disgusting who also crave liberty. Throwing them out risks undermining the whole structure because the next question is always "Well we threw them out, why can't we throw out this other group I don't like?" Most servers already operate this way. There's no rigorous logical argument justifying the exception. There's no Constitution for TF2 servers. So when you do what everyone else does your server is now just another place, one that might grow if a lot of people have similar tastes in who should be allowed vs. who shouldn't. If you can't successfully voteban people in Castaway then I'm not convinced the numbers exist to make that growth occur.

This is a complex problem. Someone earlier hated me saying I draw the line at American law, but I say that because I don't actually know how to solve any of this. I don't know what the fix is without causing problems and/or ending up with just another dead server. I wish it was as simple as banning one annoying group with some magical guarantee that no one will ever cite that as a reason to start banning others, and that the snowball effect I've seen happen a hundred times won't just happen again.
