This is partially true; the game still exists and plays good but isn't in the best place it could be. Casual has got to go, some reverts of balance changes from the 2015-2017 updates, and a fair chunk of players deserved to be purged (as evidenced by the last twenty pages of this thread).

And what makes your opinion valuable? Your previous/possibly current association with TF2Tweark; you potentially got insider information (even if such information may be from a year and a half ago assuming you are not in contact with them anymore as you claim).

Aside from the allegations not being "laid out in an organized manner," was there anything else you didn't like about the video? Anything missing or incorrect perhaps? If so, provide details with receipts if possible. If not, that's that and nothing more can be learned from you for now.

Edit: @Steel Billet got a two month threadban for being retarded. He better come back with a good post (assuming he comes back for more).

The invasion of sharty users into this thread is a good microcosm for the server drama, annoying asocial morons poisoned by irony. As much as this thread is about tf2 community drama this shit isn't even worth following.

Let’s get back to the point. I don’t think it does anybody any good to write everything off as SNCA when this situation implicates a bunch of people and a few somewhat prominent revert servers. I’ve played on a few of them so it would be nice to know definitively whether or not I’ve been in the wrong backyard and its not exactly as though there are better things to talk about anyways.

The most important thing is this raid. If 2FortTw3rkers is lurking in this thread he should provide whatever evidence he has that no actual CSAM was involved, because that would blow a hole in Gabber’s already awful case.

The iceberg video was mainly accusing Castaway of having bad, protectionist moderation. There’s loads of screenshots provided, but because the video was laced with niche discord inside jokes GCC tanked his credibility and made it hard to take seriously. Gabber has escalated things much further, using a few chat logs to claim that the entire 2FortTw3rkers discord server was involved in criminal activity and orchestrated a conspiracy involving alt accounts, DDoSing, coordinated harassment, and fabricated allegations all with the hope of poaching Castaway’s playerbase.

It also seems like theres a third party involved who is responsible for the DDoSing at the very least, who had doxxed 2Fort and was threatening to doxx SouthernNinja.

The raid in question is claimed by Gabber to have occurred of July 13th, 2025. Here is part of the video (26:36) where Gabber described the raid:

So if footage is ultimately posted here of the raid, we know what to look for to check its authenticity. Also, TF2Tweark admits in that comment that NSFW content is present in the footage of the raid, so perhaps some sort of soyjack meme/porn/gore was involved. CSAM is really bad but if porn/gore was posted, that's still bad (Not as bad but still).

Edit: There is also demo footage (In-game capture) out there of SouthernNinja I think explaining his thoughts on the situation, a day after the attack according to Gabber (July 14th, 2025). If that capture exists still, I am going to try and find it and post it unedited. If someone else already has it, please post it.

Edit 3: Watched the clip and will record/post. SouthernNinka joins around 300000 ticks (1 hour 15 minutes in) in and starts talking little bit afterwards, playing as soldier. Gabber joins shortly after and they start fighting about the then recent ddosing/drama, with most of whats shown in Gabber's video starting at around 340000 ticks (1 hour 24 mins in I think) in and ending when SouthernNinja leaves the server around 390000-395000 ticks in (1 hour 40-43 minutes).

Both of them discuss the recent ddosing and how CP was being being posted, how the guy/third party doing it is a sperg that SouthernNinja fears will turn on him, etc. But, most importantly, SouthernNinja tells Gabber that it is Gabber's fault for allowing this to happen in the first place by not publicly apologizing/acting sooner regarding the loli/grooming issues, which SouthernNinja thinks at this time as being mostly resolved (it likely wasn't if we are still talking about it now).

I really don't understand why they have to make an entire mod for this. All of this would be better as a server plugin.
Not like the rebalances themselves seem to be any good, changing Sniper's core balance in any way is already enough to not get me to try it.

I think it is interesting to note how the hatred of the sniper at present is a product of the game existing long enough where people have had more than enough time to get good and dominate rounds with classes like sniper. I also blame the bot crisis and Zesty for popularizing it among his audience too.

Edit: A new video on TF2's poor state has been made by some furry. He essentially makes most of same points as Zesty about TF2's poor state but because he's not Zesty, they are now palatable for r/TF2 to consider.
