The backstory was that he started doing his billion woke witcher videos witch-hunting the dumb cunt who decided nilfgaardian armor had to be shaped like dicks as a symbol of patriarchy or something. Anyway, he tweeted something and she responded clarifying some things and he immediately started simping on her on twitter (probably got some things wrong there, but that's the gist, he goes over it in the video i guess). He was called out and immediately produced this cringe video where he started as evident from the thumbnail, immediately fantasizing about this chick and him having a passion story, and second he projected her onto Yenenfer in the series I guess because otherwise that intro would be just nonsense.
Someone who has more time and will on his hand than my lazy ass would probably find out more if he is willing to dig on the topic. Anyway I remember back then I was like "what the fuck man you can't be this fuckling thirsty"

He's off to a strong start, but it's only April. His story needs a twist or a betrayal for it to really clinch it for me. Like Melonie turning on him and leaking a bunch of stuff, or an arrest or something. Rekieta's reign of terror really upped the ante for LOTY.

Unfortunately, there’s a MAD policy in place for streamers and grifters, even if it’s unspoken. If Melonie turns on Quartering, he’ll turn on her and they both see their grifts implode completely. Neither of them want to go back to the 9-5 world where no one cares about what they have to say and since they’ve been grifting online for so long they’d pretty much have to start at entry level. Their egos can’t handle that.

Melonie may seem sweet and innocent to the uninitiated, but she’s really no different than any other e-girl other than her very advanced age and she’s good at image management. There was an opportunity for her to turn on Nerdrotic, Geeks + Gamers, Critical Drinker, and the other Zeroes and seriously hurt them for leaving her to twist in the wind during Gooner Gate but she upheld online omertà. I would have loved if she spilled the tea on them since I’m so fucking tired of their “[insert latest Netflix IP here] is WOKE DISASTER! Lead writer ATTACKS FANS!” garbage predictable ear piss slop content and I have my suspicions that they get up to some extracurricular activities of dubious legal and/or moral standards with each other at the fan meetups.

Jer losing his contract in June, the fallout from that depending how it goes could be legendary. It could also be boring as shit or he gets another contract (at a lower rate ofc but Jer won't tell us that). If that happens its over though, LOTY is lost
