The paperwork isn't difficult, she's just too lazy to do it. And if she's not lying about how much money she's made, she's absolutely making too much to qualify for anything

I've never been on welfare (the waitlist in my state is crazy long and I was pulling unemployment so I was making too much money. Which is laughable because where I live, it wouldn't even cover rent) but you can apply for a majority of that stuff online and over the phone. But she would have to report her income- too much math - and she would probably have to have a phone interview because she hasn't had a regular job in the decade she's been on YT. But it really isn't a hard process, just kind of annoying and God forbid Amber does anything that makes her uncomfortable. Plus, you can't spend EBT on hot food or fast food unless you're basically homeless and we can't possibly stop eating that

I believe its the same people who are genuinely enthralled by things like WWE and gas station scratchers. Some people dont really need much stimulation its just cocomelon for third shift 7/11 employees.
I still believe she thinks shes better than "those people" and she doesnt want to be the caricature of what shes "running" from. She wants to be better than her mom and other people she deems lesser than her. She wants the made it out of the trailer park story.

The thing about social services is that they don't have enough people to police who is doing what the proper way. She could definitely get away with it for awhile but I absolutely agree that she has this elevated sense of self that she thinks she's better than disability (which she certainly qualifies for at this point) or EBT or anything else. They really do set the system up for people to stay in a hole - you can only make so much money to qualify for the free services. Never quite understood that but I live in California where we pay to be poor so.

Absolutely. They will use her Fed and state tax forms. And she better not have a savings account with money in it, mutual funds, stocks or bonds either. She MUST have ZERO funds and ZERO sellable assets.
Not sure where you're getting your information, but people on assistance can have some assets, just not a lot.
