Speaking of Indians, the idea that there was any kind of united Indian state before 1949 (and arguably since then too).

Try asking a Gujarati if he identifies with the Bengalis as his comrades. Or anyone not from there if they'd like to share a street shitter with someone from Uttar Pradesh.
every ethnic group in india think they are civilized true aryans saar and the rest of india are street shitter dalits
ocean's total volume
most of the ocean's volume is in the middle, we probably mostly survey the bottom and the upper layers
That native americans were one homogeneous cultural group who were peacefully living together in hippie happyland until wypipo™ showed up.
the term "native americans" also includes the fuckin aztecs

y'know, the guys who industrialized human sacrifice so that the sun won't run out of blood

hell, im pretty sure some mexican cartel guys still worship the aztec goddess of death, they mixed some christianity in, but fundamentaly, it's the closest we have to how the aztecs worshipped, and it shows that the spaniards werent exaggerating

(they call it santa muerte nowadays, but it used to be called Mictēcacihuātl)

When people think that not using a subscription would cancel it automatically. Even worse, people would bitch to me about Apple making "unauthorized charges" when they have active subscriptions on file. You add a card to be billed for a subscription you subscribed to, you authorize the charge because it auto-bills you.
I think that demonstrates some true low-intelligence levels of people, if they really believe that. In the past, I would forget some of the things I've been subscribed to and when a charge came up that I didn't expect, I contact both the bank and merchant to deal with it. Then I just cancel the subscription because it reminded me.

And in a similar manner, if you just take away the paying method, expecting the subscription to stop when they can't withdraw from you. That's just asking for trouble, then you'll get calls from collection agencies and other sorts of shit could happen, up to being legally prosecuted in civil courts or so.

Point of the matter is, cancel subscriptions you don't intend to use for long periods. It's that simple.

The recent protein craze has been driving me up the wall lately. Too many people assume that the more protein you eat, the more muscle you’ll build. Wrong. Dead wrong. You build muscle by healing the microfissures that occur when you’re working out. Protein HELPS you build that muscle and keeps your body from burning said muscle instead of fat during exercise. It does not build muscle by itself. I feel so sad for people buying packs of Protein Plus Hungry-Man’s thinking they can bulk up by eating microwaved fried chicken in front of the TV. It’s a scam and this is why health education (at least in the west) needs to get its shit together so people don’t grow up like Tammy Slaton thinking a diet soda cancels out ten thousand calories.

"I could care less"
It's "I couldn't care less", you absolute sped, It means that your ability to care about something has diminished (or never existed in the first place) to the point where you cannot possibly care about something any less than you do right now. "I could care less" implies you still care to some extent, because you could potentially care about it less than you already do.
Thankfully, I've noticed people have been saying it correctly more often these days, but this was a constant irritation to me through the entire 2010s.
I have heard it proposed that the full phrase used during the '70s and '80s was "as if I could care less" which has led to "I could care less" being used as a shorthand, but I cannot imagine that most people who use the phrase would know that even if it were the case.

Large locomotives can stop on a dime. I hate that so many people believe this when theyre stuck on the railroad tracks
Always waving their arms and shouting or complaining "WHY DIDNT IT STOP D: "

The idiots dont realize that much mass takes time to slow down. It takes a full train around a mile to come to a complete stop if nothing is on the tracks

Something I've mentioned on KF before - a few too many people, even otherwise bright and well-informed ones, will blithely use the word 'homicide' as if it's a crime in and of itself. It's not, it's any situation in which one person kills another, and would cover even perfectly legal killings, eg execution, euthanasia, and acts of self-defense. I still put the misconception down to the influence of Homicide: Life On The Street.

I used to get really pissed off when people would say things like Macs aren't compatible with this mouse or that keyboard back in the early 2000s.

Haven't thought about that for ages until a family member who worked in tech (specifically with Linux in the late 90s) said "you don't have any file compatibility issues with Linux?"

I almost burst a blood vessel at the ignorance, from someone who should know better.

United collective of online libtards who automatically assume you support the other side of any issue coin if you openly hate one side. Both sides of anything can be total shit and one can hate the entire thing.
I've heard this attitude called "light switch brain". They think you have to pick A or B, even if there are clearly 6 or 7 sides to the issue.

Many websites and providers deliberately make subscribing a surprise and make unsubscribing an adventure, which is why I'm careful to never subscribe to anything ever.

Mouthbreathers who pronounce "etc." as "ecksetra", or "icksetra". It couldn't be more clear that the 't' comes BEFORE the 'c'. ET CETERA! This one has major "aks" energy to me.

I prefer the taste of Zero but yes, it tastes notably different than normal Coke. Same bullshit as when people claim Pepsi tastes the same as Coke, your taste buds must be fried if you can't taste the difference between the two.

Zero tastes far closer to what regular Coke does compared to Diet Coke. It's in the same ballpark at least.

I'd say Dr. Pepper Zero is the closet to the real thing.

I've heard that we shouldn't be able to "purchase guns online and have them shipped to my doorstep".
