IRGC Navy Commander: We have missile boats and long-range missile equipment whose range cannot be mentioned, but we keep them in secret places and away from the enemy's sight.Let everyone know, from America to any party that threatens us, that we are neither afraid of threats nor afraid of death, because it takes us to a higher world where we meet the martyrs.

Iranian commander and MP: "They have no idea what weapons we're hiding in our warehouses. The most powerful army in the world shouldn't have to beg other countries for help."

SaidNoOneEver is a known brown. He does this kind of thing in the USPG2 thread, and gets exactly the same response.
Reminder that he thought the gulf of aden was the gulf of oman and didn't think the suez canal connected to either of them.
The way to win an argument in USP2 is literally tell someone to source what they're saying if they cant or don't respond and post again you win. Want a couple of easy dubs go ask Fatpacks to not doom and don't get a response.
Oh come on, man, that's cheating.

BharatBangladeshBritish Broadcasting Company News reports the UK gov asserts there's no evidence a missile could strike London. Everyone is crashing out. Starmer has basically disappeared from public view. I'm starting to wonder if Trump stole him last night and didn't tell anyone.

So what's their explanation for the missiles that were launched toward Diego Garcia? Bury their heads in the sand and pretend nothing happened?

Oh. They ARE pretending nothing happened in Diego Garcia. :story:

You're welcome, Britoids. Apologize, now.

Friendly reminder to all the threadshitters trying so hard to practice their taqqiya, swearing that these guys aren't fighting with muzzie principles, here you go. They're admitting outright that they want to die so they can be martyred.

Trump said he was going to choose Iran's new leader five days after it started.

When this is over anyone pretending this wasn't about regime change will be universally dismissed as a fool.
Nobody is pretending anything. The distinction is between the Iranians overthrowing their own government and G.W. Bush neocon regime change where the US conquers a territory, takes control of it, and creates its government. The US does not want the IRGC to continue to control Iran, they also don't want to be in direct control of whomever takes the IRGC's place.

Southern states are already being told to prepare for hurricane season at $8 (from ~$2.75 a month ago). That's a wrap for the mid-terms and beyond.
I know this guy is a retard but for everyone else, the southern states on the Gulf Coast (not the Persian one) always have gas prices rise during hurricane season because it disrupts offshore drilling, but offshore drilling in the Gulf is also the reason they have generally really cheap gas prices otherwise. Hurricane states have price-gouging laws for gas prices and generally red state governors will sign bills to reduce gas prices to help a republican president save face - I believe the governor of Georgia has suspended the gas tax for this very reason.
Hurricane Katrina or the BP oil spill of 2010 is probably the high-water mark for southern gas disruption

Obviously, this idea of ceding ground to geopolitical adversaries is dumb and is not how Trump has been conducting foreign policy,
I know this isn't USPG2 but I'll leave this here.
That's exactly how Trump has been doing foreign policy. Cutting off the reliance on China, incentivizing domestic production in the United States and its neighbors, and passing foreign policy that pulls us out of moneysinks like Europe and Africa. This has been very clearly stated in the 2025 and 2026 National Security Strategy documents, and if you go back in USPG2 you'll find a bunch of discussion about this. Getting involved with Iran has been a big detour from what has otherwise been a strong focus on reducing military and diplomatic presence in the rest of the world and focusing it solely in the Western hemisphere.

What firing at Diego Garcia shows is what the range of their missile program is,

No, firing a missile in any given direction does not show you what its range is, any more than a missile fired north west from Iran shows us that Washington DC is within range.

At least, there is some mystery of doubt around it.

Thank you for your service.

If they can strike Diego Garcia, they can strike the UK and mainland Europe.

How many iranian missiles have struck Diego Garcia?

Them: "Iran is high-IQ with a genius plan to end the American Empire!"

Also them: "Iran is criminally retarded and slung two IRBMs outside the atmosphere over the open Indian Ocean for no fucking reason at all!"

Why is the HOUSING SECRETARY speaking on behalf of the British defense establishment?

I'm still not 100% sure why Scott Bessent is the one who keeps talking about Iran, but apparently governments have no idea who's supposed to talk about what.

Thanks to the United States? 0. You're welcome.

So they just decided to waste the missiles, did they? They are reporting now that they have missiles with capacities and ranges they can't reveal now because they're winning so hard, right? Which is it? Is Iran an incapable shithole who can't do anything right, or are they winning the war against America?

Oh yes it does. Iran's previous maximum range was believed to be about 2000km with their Khorramshahr and Sejil missiles.

If they fired a missile at Diego Garcia it means they have missiles with ranges of at least 3000km.

Given the shockingly poor (read: non-existent) state of European air defense, this should be cause for alarm.

Another big issue is coastal Texas and Louisiana are home to the seven largest oil refineries in the US, along with many other smaller ones.

They have to shut down if a hurricane is going to hit because of the enormous safety risks otherwise. The eastern part of the South also has no meaningful refinery capacity and only has a couple of major pipelines running from the Gulf coast northward up to the other major refining complex in New Jersey.

Florida is especially isolated, it has no refineries and no pipelines that connect to the larger network.

If the missile was on such a trajectory that it was decided a destroyer had to fire an interceptor at it, this strongly implies that the military officers on the scene believed it had the range to hit Diego Garcia, and the range from Iran to Diego Garcia is only a few hundred kilometers less than the range from Iran to London (shortest possible range from Iranian territory to either)

Well, yes?

Has something given you the impression that Iran's response to the Israeli-US strikes is focussed and strategic rather than lashing out in every direction?
Lashing out in every direction has given them what both retards and serious people consider as their only chance to get Trump to stop bombing them
