I initially came here to laugh at eccentrics that overshare on the internet, but I stayed because it seems to be the only fucking place left on the internet where you can actually have an open discussion and learn something without being shutdown/brigaded/censored by some power tripping pedophile.

It’s the only place I can read about a political happening and find takes all across the board…. granted you have to sift through a lot of schizo/conspiratard posting to get there.

It’s the only place dangerous, menaces to society are documented with receipts that can’t pay/play the victim card/extort their way off of *cough cough*.

It’s the only place I can outspokenly disagree with the jannies, let alone the god damn owner himself and call them faggots with impunity.

This is the last bastion of the internet I grew up with, the last true free place on the internet and it’s being held together by one man on principle alone, ad free, despite being forever branded the nigger of the entire internet.

Sorry, but who the fuck even lets it get that far? If my phone rings at 3 AM, and it’s not immediate family calling with an emergency, the caller is getting “DO I KNOW YOU, NIGGER?!? DO I FUCKING KNOW YOU, FUCKING NIGGER?!!?” screamed at them before the handset impacts the hook with enough force to crack the housing. Like, how inconsiderate do you have to be to call someone at that hour? Maybe calls at all hours are standard in Silicon Valley- idk, I’m not part of that world- but in the real world, any sane person wouldn’t entertain such a thing. How pozzed are these higher-ups if they’re worried about negative consequences from refusing to listen to this thwomp-faced rapist at 3 AM?

And if I picked up the phone at that ungodly hour to hear some faggoty-ass, Kermit-voiced eunuch demanding to speak to my wife? The resulting tirade would sound more like Les Grossman in 2008’s Tropic Thunder than it would me.

It's kind of weird, the rest of the movie is pretty unremarkable. Not really 'bad', but it's stage play stuff, cause it was from one. There's some good stuff with Pacino trying to come onto John Pryce to trick him into a sale. Otherwise it's pretty dull. Then that scene comes in and makes it a classic. Zoomers to this day quote 'ABC' as 'always be cheating' but I doubt any of them really have seen it.

Baldwin was also the best Jack Ryan by far. Beetlejuice, Glen, and Hunt for Red October were his best by far. After that mostly blah. I never liked Ford as Ryan at all compared to Baldwin.

Now now, there are plenty of memorable scenes.

>Ed Harris crashing out after being questioned by police
>Pacino getting angry upon being given a lead with a pajeet name on it
>Lemmon ranting at Spacey for doubting his sale to the Nyborgs (and all of the abuse hurled at Spacey, really..)

Having seen the movie countless times and the stage performance once, I will allow that there are some slow stretches, but it doesn’t bother me. It’s not painfully slow, like The Irishman (2019) is.

I think the assumption is:
  1. Beyond being a wealthy, well connect man in tech, he travels in the circles where there are parties where weird shit happens behind closed doors that normal people who don't advertise their peculiar interests on social media don't want aired in public. In less words, he might have blackmail material on a lot of other wealthy, well connected men. Remember, he's a sadist.
  2. In the middle of the night, a woman gets a frightening call on her personal cel from a creepy weirdo telling you god knows what. They react by essentially freezing and maybe fawning instead of telling him to fuck off and call her husband during normal business hours. This is actually kind of disturbing to a lot of people to be on the receiving end of this. Remember, he's a sadist.

@Null you may wish to let Mr. Hardin know that, regarding page 6, there is a difference between “imminently fair” and “eminently fair”.

(Specifically, the difference is one is what he meant, and one is what he actually typed.)
 
Now that you have 600, it's time to push for 800 now, right? Put two more eggs down on the bottom of the screen so they can be cracked and we get more fun kiwis. Especially since 600 could easily not end up being enough, billable hours is always undefeated.

@Null, pass this offer along to Hardin. I charge $50/hr for proofreading legal documents/pleadings, et al. Tell him I have a copy of Garner on Legal Usage, and I follow Bluebook citation style.
