Didn't see much of a thread regarding all the fine antics of Portland and the people who live there, so I thought to make one.

Lesbian bar shuts down one week after opening because they weren't woke enough​



Doc Marie’s is a lesbian bar that opened on July 1st of this year with the hope of bringing more inclusivity to the city of Portland. But just one week after their grand opening they were forced to shut down because of complaints that the bar was not a “safe space.” Similar to the story I wrote a few weeks ago about the queer-owned cafe in Philadelphia that was shut down by employees for not being woke enough, Doc Marie’s was cannibalized by the woke mob.

The crowd on opening day was huge. One woman said that the line for entry on opening night was “wrapped around the block” with “literally 200 lesbians” waiting to get in.


But the excitement about a new progressive hangout dissipated quickly. Within days, Doc Marie’s found itself on the receiving end of accusations of not being inclusive enough for trans people and people of color. Despite mask mandates being lifted in Portland, patrons accused the bar of not implementing enough COVID safety measures. Patrons also claimed that Doc Marie’s had “culturally appropriative art” on the walls.
One TikToker, who says she attended the grand opening, breaks down the accusations against the bar:


Employees of Doc Marie’s created an Instagram page to echo these concerns. They claimed that the owners weren’t proactive enough in creating a safe space and accused the owners of racism. The employees also demanded that the bar host “free opportunities for education” for the community.

Eventually, the employees demanded the owners relinquish ownership of the bar and hand the business to them. The owners were given a “24-hour deadline” to adhere to the ludicrous demands.

Just five days after opening, the bar announced on July 6th that they had to close temporarily in order to address the cries from the woke mob for a “safe and inclusive space.”

Surrendering to the woke mob doesn’t appear to be working out in Doc Marie’s favor, as the bar remains closed with no public plan to reopen.

Never shoplifted in my life but here is the logic I see people parrot when they try to defend it. Basically they believe that if you steal from a major chain it has zero consequences because the store has the money to replace the items. It's basically "Walgreens is multi billion dollar company me stealing some headphones had no impact!" but then a thousand other people do the same thing and the store closes. Our last Walmart closed down because people kept stealing shit. Everyone working there lost their jobs. Everyone in the neighborhood lost a grocery store. It's just lies. If enough people steal the higher ups decide it's not worth it to keep the store open. Grocery chains already operate on razor thin margins.

Does no one know what Black Friday even started for? Why is it called that? Because it was usually LATE NOVEMBER before a store even makes enough revenue to cover their expenses for the year. It started as a celebration, "woo hoo we survived a year we aren't going brankrupt!!" You have to be absolutely braindead to think that stealing from "A cOrPoRaTiOn" isn't directly affecting you and everyone around you. Even if it's a goddamn pack of pencils. Then they complain about "food deserts" as if these evil corporations are racist and just want to punish black people or whatever. It's like they forgot that "all corporations are greedy and only want your money and are evil"... they would care less about literally murdering minorities for NEGATIVE profit (less consumers) and much more about keeping their stores open to make even a single cent off of them.

I think my problem is that I was trying to wrap my head around this, as in trying to use my brain for it, when it's pretty clear none of them have one. It's like the DVD screensaver - every once in a while the cells in their heads hit the corner just right to make a little spark and give them a single thought, but it's gone again just as soon.

You're none of those things. What you are is a sane, functioning member of society who doesn't understand why said society keeps tolerating antisocial behavior.

Which puts you alongside a lot of us, when you get down to it.

Oregon principal suspended for Charlie Kirk comments goes to prison in child sex images case​

A former high school principal in Columbia County was sentenced to just over five years in prison last month for possessing and sharing images of child sex abuse.

Jeremy P. Williams, a 50-year-old Longview, Washington resident, had previously worked across the state lines as the principal of Rainier Junior/Senior High School in Oregon.

Williams was already on paid administrative leave for making negative comments about slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk when he was arrested on multiple charges in September, according to a Sept. 17 letter written by Rainier School District superintendent Chad Holloway.

Kirk was assassinated while speaking at a Utah campus a week earlier.

Cowlitz County Chief Criminal Deputy Troy Brightbill said at the time that authorities received automatic alerts from several social media sites after known sexually explicit images of children were traded by an internet address linked to Williams.

There was no indication Williams had possessed images of students at his school, the deputy said.

A reporter for the Daily Chronicle in Longview wrote that Williams made a barely audible apology in court on Feb. 23, adding that Willaims had previously boasted about winning awards for his erotic fiction.

Williams had been principal of the high school since 2022, according to school board minutes. He retired in November with a final salary of $99,500 a year, according to The Chronicle.

Cowlitz County Superior Court Judge Thad Scudder sentenced Williams to five years and one month in prison during the hearing, and ordered the ex-educator to register as a sex offender. Scudder also ordered Williams to pay $3,000 in court fees and imposed three years of probation.

There are just under 800 students enrolled in the Rainier School District, according to state data.

we live in a society where you can walk out the door with hundreds of dollars of merchandise from a retail store, but steal from a drug dealer? you will die.

one of the most infuriating parts about living under this insanity is that we're all supposed to just accept this as normal.

Because anyone who speaks up about the crime and drug use is branded a Nazi and subject to harassment by Antifags. Socialists and Antifag-friendly progressives are very entrenched in the local government, and they just keep pumping money into more progressive pet projects that don't work. See here.

Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving, in the states there used to be big discount sales at all major retailers. I don't think it's still the thing, but before Amazon that's where it came from. I've hired on for seasonal work stocking shelves when I was younger.

The term black comes from those retailers doing enough sales to bring their books out of the red and into the black. It's an accounting term.
