Did you forget about DOGE last year? lmao Yes, the government can just funnel money wherever st the snap of a finger. To think they are truly that tied up in red tape is stupid
"The Government can"
The Executive branch can move to prevent its constituent organizations from expending use-or-lose funding
The Legislative branch can allocate different amounts of funding to different organizations

Now, I kind of forget things sometimes. Tarragon, can you help me out with this? Which of the branches contains The President and DOGE?
Is it:
A: The Executive Branch
B: The Legislative Branch
C: The Government

If it is easier, elaborate.

You just saying "do the thing" does not illuminate on the actual processes and pushback that would entail doing it.We see this with the deportations as well. Whining and pissing helps no one in any way
What active pushback? If youre actively rioting, impeding police, etc. you get arrested and face minimum 5 year. Push back ends after a couple of arrests then you deport as you please. None of these people "pushing back" have ever experienced consequences foe their actions and they STILL DON'T UNDER TRUMP. That is the biggest reason it continues and will continue to happen. Give them actual consequences and that shit stops

GOPe never learn.Imagine running a candidate that is outright unpopular, then be shocked when no one is enthusiastic to vote for 'im
If the GOP wasn't retarded, they'd read the writing on the walls, never endorse another hyphenated-American again and make tackling H1-Bs and other visas a main issue for the party, but they're so retarded and so slavishly devoted to losing that they'll probably just double down, call us racist, and then run more Indians in every possible seat until we accept jeet microcock down our throats, all the while they guzzle more AIPAC jizz.

If I'm forced to pay taxes, then yeah, I want to see some 2000 pounders go boom before they expire and we just blow them up with a Barrett 50 cal at a ordnance disposal range
I am also forced to pay taxes and I would like to see it go to roads and infrastructure in America. Have you enlisted in our miltary yet or are you still overweight and calling for miltary action that you'll never participate in?

It's A but youre under the false premise that all money is allocated legally and as it should be. It isnt and cant be so therefore youre wrong. Try again.

Do we need to drop every bomb ever made just because we bought it?
We don't need to. But, it's not wasteful.
I should also point out that some of the smarter munitions are a resource problem as they can only be made so fast and we're using them faster than we replenish it.
This specific issue is a component of logistics, which is planned for. As has been said 100 times before, actual stockpiles are not public, however the US has enough smart munitions for months of very high intensity combat. It also incentivizes more efficient production.
Yes. They are mutually exclusive. Trump is one person that can only focus on so much and if he's focusing on the middle east it means he isnt focusing on the US. Now I know. Youre going to bring up subordinates, but, all Im going to say is Kristi Noem. If Trump was more focused on the US and not Israel then stuff like that is FAR less likely to happen.
Maybe I was unfair to you earlier, this one is not a bad point. Operational attention is a major issue.

So, to be a bit more direct, your suggestion is that Trump has the ability to use an audit to take overallocated money from the pentagon, and give it directly to ICE? I think this is not a bad idea, but would probably be way more difficult and convoluted and politically taxing than it sounds.

The military pot is separate from the roads pot retard. The bombs are already built and paid for. It costs little to drop them
I think it's important to clarify that the shittiest infrastructure, most in need of repair, isn't even maintained by the federal government, but the State which built it.

Surely you can see some piece of my perspective on this matter. Don't take the above seriously, I just felt like strawmanning you like you strawmanned
All is fair. I thought it was funny.
It was kind of fun to type.
That's why I post like that.
I think you're right that it's vanishingly unlikely, I just found it odd that the immediate response seemed to be more hostile than dismissive.
It's a natural response to repeatably having to retread the same tired arguments over and over. Peoples responses are going to become overwhelmingly hostile when topics are not discussed in a vacuum, based solely on the merit of the post/poster. To put it shortly, they are tired of bad arguments. So just because it was your first post about a US draft doesn't mean it was the responders first time arguing against it. In this thread specifically most topics have been argued to death and the only times they are brought back up is to either troll or to make a disingenuous/uninformed post. People naturally tire of responding in earnest so they are aggressive from the get go. Why bother writing a finely worded post with sources and quotes when the person you're responding to is assumed to be uninterested in genuine conversation. I apologize for assuming you weren't interested in actual discussion. It's a very slow Monday and like you said it's fun to strawman/steelman other people's opinions. Doubly so if they're baiting/trolling.

Our taxes go to both military and infrastructure, retard. I'd like more of it to go to the American citizenry and not boming Arabs that we have to later import to live here because they come from a war zone that we bombed.

Probably but it still is hypothetically feasible. It's better than nothing at all
