This was back in Aug 2025, but I actually hung out with Chibi in Shibuya. I was in Tokyo and he had just arrived in Japan, so I hit him up on Facebook and asked if he wanted to hang out. I met up with him and walked around for about an hour. We also met up with two of his other friends. One was a Japanese girl he met on WeChat (language exchange website) and one of her friends who was a foreign exchange student from Spain(?).
Of course, I pretended not to have heard of Chibi ever, but gently guided the conversation and got him to tell me all about his SGDQ incident. He led the story by talking about how PewDiePie made a video about him. I also talked to him about his family life, his job in Japan, where he was staying, a few other things.
I didn’t post this in case he browses this page and I wanted to mine him for extra lulz, but ultimately I realized that he wasn’t all that interesting and I didn’t care to pursue it any further. I messaged him a few times after that, but he gave very short responses. I thought about potentially exposing him for being a sex predator to his friends and the world in the middle of shibuya crossing, but I was too much of a coward. Or maybe I’m just not
that cruel.
If he sees this, oh well. If not, feel free to drop any questions you want me to ask him on Facebook while the facade is still up and I’ll try to reestablish contact. Here are some photos I took of him including a premium rare Claw of Fail next to Shadow the Hedgehog. I took some notes of what he said too, but I’ll have to find where I saved them. For now, here’s what I remember off the top of my head:
- He was able to talk to his friend, but I know very little Japanese, so I couldn’t tell how basic it was.
- He told me where he worked for teaching English and it was a cram school, but I don’t remember the name
- He was bitching about how hot and humid it was and how he didn’t have AC
- He was walking around in pajama pants and a backpack with his ass nearly hanging out. Also was carrying around a 2 liter jug of water.
- He was nervous about moving to Japan and his mom was very nervous for him
- His friend was letting him crash at his place near Haneda airport in what was supposed to be a one person apartment. He was worried about finding a place of his own
- He seemed pretty embarrassed about the whole SGDQ thing
- He smelled weird
If I had never heard of him before, I would have thought he was just an awkward dude in arrested development. Truly, his private life and decision to share it online is the cause of most of his issues. Haven’t followed this thread for a while so idk what information is new.
