Man that was dull. Even the strategy part was fucking boring. These new regs seem to give a 10 or so lap battle then status quo until the end. I was praying for Max to park it on the racing line and make something happen.

I'm sure the redditors who just go "more overtakes therefore good" will be eating it up but they're all just artificial pass and repass.

I’m still at the “I’m glad I didn’t set my alarm for this one” stage, but have had moments where I considered cancelling the subscription.

I’m gonna wait for after Monaco though.
Part of me hopes for the “Russell Champion, but booted for Max in the seat”-scenario.

I can't wait to see how undrivable these things are there. They're all straight line speed and shit cornering and Monaco is just cornering. Plus all the rear locking when trying to do anything amount of slowing into a corner. This season's pole time vs last is going to be hilarious.

Monaco nullifies the battery management problems, probably one of the few tracks they van go full beans without having any super clipping.

Don’t be surprised if Monaco is one of the actual good races this year. Little bit smaller cars and the track layout means more deployment…

only if the recuperation brake locking issue is resolved first otherwise its going to be 78 laps of safety car after someone skids into a wall
 
The Ferrari scuffle (and how much of that was orchestrated by relative battery charge?) made that look like a more interesting race than it really was. When you have four cars not even making the starting grid, including both drivers for the incumbent World Constructors Championship, then that's a problem.

I've noticed, on the Channel Four coverage, the commentators mostly refer to 'energy' rather than 'battery'.

This is another reason I have less than zero motivation to watch this season, fat zak has functionally killed my almost 30 year long fandom of the McLaren organization after his faggotry last season in doing everything to get that broccoli haired homo a championship at the cost of his much more likeable and talented teamate.
