Regardless of money, a GOOD artist and storyteller would depict his or her characters doing things the artist personally found distasteful because characters are supposed to have flaws! A fat character desperately attempting to lose weight to no avail would either be funny or endearing (or sexo…?) but Autism would see it as internalized fatphobia, so she won’t draw it. She refuses to draw anything that disagrees with her own moral compass, so everything she draws is boring and predictable.
