I do find it funny that they're willing to sell oil as long as it's in Chinese dollars. They think they have any negotiating power. How are they going to? Close the streets with the imaginary Navy and Air Force. The Iranians should have closed the straits. Immediately during the start of the conflict. Shouldn't mind the shit out of it. But they didn't, because they're stupid.
Their strategy at the moment is to just throw drones at any ships trying to pass (even their own) as they lost both intel and communication capabilities.
I also have a feeling they lost their finance guys because almost always the Iranians accepted US dollars for their crude, not only because of the currency’s strength but its wide acceptance across the world.

An Iranian journalist sailed to the Strait of Hormuz showing the exact line which ships are not allowed to cross. He shows some of the foreign oil tankers that were stuck by Iran. He explains that any ship that turns its systems on (visible on radar) or starts moving beyond that line, it will immediately be struck by IRGC drones without any warnings.

Then they wouldn't be able to sell oil to china, and they'd wind up bankrupt in a couple of months.

Unless something has changed in the last day, Iran is still shipping oil to china. It sails right past the USN.

If anyone was paying attention during Trump 1.0, they’d realize that his way of fighting has been well established. Instead of fighting ISIS directly, he just had the leaders killed off, which made it difficult for them to stay relevant as a terrorist force in the region. This was done under Trump’s first term, but less ambitious compared to the second term.

In video game terminology, this would be like taking out the final boss at the beginning of the game, then completing various side quests afterwards to tie up any loose ends. Other countries do not like this, because they operate on the idea that you should first defeat their armies (beginner levels), and then have endless negotiations and smaller victories (side quests), before defeating the leader (final boss), but given the might of the US military and tech available, that would be dumb and result in way more casualties. Trump’s method minimizes casualties while giving maximum reward.

Not that I believe this for a second, no way Iran is just gonna give up on blockading the Strait except for American and Israeli ships. Israel doesn't have any oil tankers under its flag I don't think, and the number of US flagged or tankers owned by US oil companies is very low

Tucker is about to get CIA'd after getting caught selling state secrets to Iran.
He's trying to get ahead of it by claiming it's all a gayop.

Although him being charged would be funny, i think the funnier outcome would him being found clear with no foreign money, so all the shit he does, he does for free like a kiwifarms moderator reddit janny. :story:

Edit: @The Fourteen Words of ZOG negrates every post in this thread because he's a seething brownoid faggot upset that his clique of retarded zoophiliacs got blown into gruel. Sad
He's been doing it since last night, even before he got banned. And now it's all he has left - impotent rage, infinite butthurt.
I'm from England retard
How's the weather in England retard? Any different than the weather in England?
Losing unspeakable amounts of young men puts strain on the logistics of your next battle
Not to mention the carry-on effects down the years - I've long been convinced that Europe's current ultra-effete culture is largely the result of the enormous damage its male population took in WW1 (especially) & 2.

edit: Thanks for the negrate! I feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

That "...and their allies" is doing a lot of heavy lifting, especially since no one is sure which IRGC member interprets what ship as belonging to an "ally."

that's the ticket right there. down through the years when Iran ever came up in a conversation and somebody inevitably said "why doesn't the US just get it over with and bomb the shit out of them", my answer was always "cause they still accept USD for their oil". As long as most or at least some of their oil was traded using USD, we didn't really give a shit beyond making enough gestures to appease the israelis.

US and Israel are literally the two LEAST affected by the strait directly, if that’s true then that pretty much means they completely capitulated.
(I doubt it though, there’s a massive disconnect between the government and IRGC)

moreover, how tf will they communicate that to the IRGC? Their whole mosaic army model explicitly prohibits them from giving orders to IRGC units to stand down. They'll declare it open and Ahmed will shoot the first ship going through

They have pretty much shot out most of their missile stock inventory, which is kinda pathetic when you think about it, decades of military preparation and that's all they can expend

What people should be worried about though is the drones, they are of far lower cost to manufacture and can feasibly spam attacks for a much longer timeline, continually disrupting the gulf trade possibly for months on end

I'm certainly concerned that drone terrorism is going to eventually be the new thing especially once the Russia-Ukraine conflict ends as regardless who wins, what is certainly going to happen is hordes of trained operators selling their services to various rogue actors as it's rather cheap for the damage you can do.
