It’s why Muslims are bad at war. Instead of crashing their consumer-grade bomb robot into something like an electrical substation that’d cause actual disruption, they think “bombs explode. Bomb from sky blew up my town Mosque. My bomb robot can blow up building!!! Me win!!!” Unaware that their shitty hand grenade strapped to a quadcopter is capable only of causing superficial damage, resulting in a few extra shifts for the poor fuckers on building maintenance at the very worst.
 
I do find it funny that they're willing to sell oil as long as it's in Chinese dollars. They think they have any negotiating power. How are they going to? Close the streets with the imaginary Navy and Air Force. The Iranians should have closed the straits. Immediately during the start of the conflict. Shouldn't mind the shit out of it. But they didn't, because they're stupid.

It's inherently a European sort of complaint. We're an individualistic sort of people, we value ourselves more than the Europeans value their own people.

Regardless, it's good practice to be Hannibal and not Varro. Good tactics win battles and good logistics win wars. Losing unspeakable amounts of young men puts strain on the logistics of your next battle. We're not fighting next door, we're on the other side of the planet.

You're going to need to use that same 19 year old next week, so maybe don't send him head first into an entrenched position if it's not strictly necessary. Drop a fucking bomb on it.

This used to be the case, but let's be real: the reason why European militaries and European resolve is so weak these days, is the fact that they are so individualistic. Nationalism taboo in Germany, Britain and France are not that far off. They will hack your head off if you insult them in a football game, but other than that, they have been more than happy to surrender to immigrants, and let their militaries rot (aside from France, they have done a decent job).

Like even Britain was so much different 20 years ago, when Afghanistan and Iraq began. Britain was right there with US, with a pretty hefty contribution. Today? Starmer has to make a pathetic speech of even allowing US planes to land on British bases to help defend Gulf allies, and even that is met with a heavy backlash.

The only people in Europe still stuck up in the 1930s, are Russians. They seemingly won't give a shit, no matter how many are wasted in their useless war in Ukraine.
