The only animes I have any sort of long-term affection for are dragon ball and One punch man. Specifically because the MCs are guys fighting and not some noodley faggot creep that is dripping in bitches and children. If you go into a manga section of Barnes and noble or whatever large chain bookstore is near you, the manga section is 80% perverse filth, 10% esoteric deep shit and 10% fighting.

These two speds basically represent a large amount of japanese expats.

They're either a washed-up 40-something with no career prospects besides English Teaching, or a internet addled sexpat weeb-type who either "doesn't need to work"(nepo kid) or is willing to accept shit pay and ends up marrying the first mentally unstable BPD JapGirl that gives them attention for a permanent visa(and then gets fucked by toxic relationship and divorce, like an innumerable amount of poor sods on reddit)

(obvious exception for edge-cases like people who's companies or military relocated them, or people who moved for family-related reasons like Japanese-Americans and their fam's)

If they think that maybe they can get that middle class life with a family of his own.
