Oh no. We have to pay a little extra at the pump in order to deal with an enemy that has spent decades taking pot shots at us.

Either you are buck broken by turd world talking points or are a turd worlder yourself. Either way, pretty sad. Many such stories.
I voted for trump because he explicitly said no more wars in the middle east and lower cost of living. Im aware iran is no friend to the west but this policy is insane. Do you remember all of the trump teams campaign talking points in 24? "Kamala will launch a war on iran if she wins!"

This is going to be more than elevated gas prices for a month or two. Let's put a pin in this and see where we are in six months. There is a group in this thread that have been inhaling their own version of copium that mirrors the turd worlders they make fun of.

Well seeing how this guy was one of the ones claiming that all the attacks from Iran were actually false flags by Isreal even though Iran openly admitted to doing them
Iran would've only nuked israel then would've been nuked by everyone else. I see a distinct lack of me or my people getting nuked.

Wouldn't completely removing Iran and replacing it with a US symathetic state make up for whatever drawbacks we would see with oil prices in the short-term?

Like... massively?

Even ignoring that we have Venezuela as a backup gravy train now, I don't see how a month-long disruption followed by what amounts to direct control over Iran's regional power and resources is going to ruin the petro-trade for a gorillion years to come and cripple the US.

BRO!! THIS IS JUST LIKE IRAQ!!!

literally every time.
it could play out like iraq, or it could play out differently, depending on how each side handles it.
it's not guaranteed, but it's not an outlandish impossibility either. at this point in time only a handful of guys in trumps inner circle and maybe a few higher ups in the US army chain of command really know where things are headed.

I feel pretty safe in saying both the "literally" and the "exactly" part of this sentence are completely wrong as Iraq never posed the persistent adversary to us the way Iran has for 40 years.
It's just elevated gas prices. How long can this war in the Middle East really last? It's just a bunch of desert people. They couldn't put up a fight for very long, we have such a strong military and they're just cavemen comparatively. Plus we have this great Republican president who is very confident we'll accomplish our mission there.

Trump declared total sandnigger death yesterday should be wrapping up in about a week.
Drumf regularly bullshits though, so i will wait on his generals and war miggas to confirm. When are the Jews going to activate the subversion card on these iranians?

Bait!!

getting to 14 days huh...... progress report?
Since you're not interested in using the highlights feature to catch up with major updates, I'm here to inform you that Trump will be air-dropping Gatorade and South Korean romance novels to hold the civilian population over while we continue to air-drop more retirement gifts on their chain of command.

I know the Iranian conflict is almost 2 weeks in now, but why are some people dooming at this stage? USA casualties haven't even entered two digits yet as far as I read (eight). Still terrible to have death but compared to the 2k+ Iran is dealing with? Yeah.

The other thing people in the thread have talked about is the anger of the Iranian people and the possible arming of an uprising with a regime change. While I don't know how much crap the USA and Israel are moving to them or if it will end up a failure, there's still time. The only thing the USA seems to be suffering from is oil prices, cultural memory of other middle eastern wars, and reputation in the countries that want to stay passive to things (like Canada). Am I missing something? Why we dooming? We just got here, it's day 12.
It's hard to overstate how badly Vietnam and GWOT absolutely raped the consciousness of two generations. They'd rather wait around until some other superpower is literally firing nukes at them than take any proactive action.

How much bombing does it take to force a country into submission? I'm surprised after two weeks they still have it in them to not only continue making public statements denouncing the country attacking them, but also demanding recompense. They have to realize at some point that they're not winning this fight, right?
