Alex has a pitiable condition. I feel like $7 is a reasonable amount for a post card painted by an elephant for an elephant rescue or scribbled out crayon drawing print of a child with cancer. I get that she is just a person living her life rather than a charity case, but these kinds of purchases probably hold the same spot, rather than being like the people who are obtaining things for museums, or even people with really good private art collections. Or even the people who think they have taste.

And they go, "No, I bought it to support this lady who is basically paralyzed from the neck down that has a daughter that I follow on Instagram." The unsaid follow-up is, "Because I am a good person." I don't think it makes anyone bad to participate in this kind of charity as long as Alex isn't engaging in all her past bad behavior.

So the extra cost is justified just because she's disabled? That's nonsense. What happened to equality and equity?

I saw a dog that paints on Instagram yesterday. I'd pay extra for his stuff because he is a Good Boy. Alex, however, is just a disgusting pee-reeking pedo goblin and trust, there are plenty of disgusting disabled artists that have actual talent who deserve $7 way more.

Everyone loves to see a cripple being productive. We are a society that embraces the Protestant Work Ethic, for good and bad, and when Alex pumps out shitty paintings it's kinda like a dude with Spina Bifida greeting you at WalMart. "Good for them!" people think. "How brave! How good they are to do something other than just sitting there." We equate productivity with goodness and so Alex has been able to raise her "goodness" meter a little bit by fucking doing something.

I will say something nice: she is clearly painting a lot, even if they suck, and painting a lot of sucky stuff is basically the only way to paint some non-sucky stuff in the future. She seems to really love this, whether she should be so smug and full of herself or not. She is forever a disgusting pedo goblina as far as I'm concerned, but this turn is going to be good for Ari. It's so good for her to see Mom passionate about something that isn't alcohol (abstinence from or over-indulgence of) or porn.

The wildflower field is the closest I've seen to decent color theory. Still not great, but I don't recoil like I have in the past.
 
Even kiwi birdie paints better than Alex.

If you buy Alex' painting for your toilet it's fine. But in general she belongs in a woodchipper and you shouldn't be sorry for her.

Ugh, disabled people deserve special accommodations, but it doesn't mean, we should say their work is of the same quality, if it isn't.
 
Disabled people deserve the same treatment as everyone else, no fawning praise for substandard shite. People who claim they deserve special treatment just for being disabled piss me off.
Equity for all.
If I'm being a raging bitch then I deserve to get punched in the face just as much as someone who has working legs.

Exactly! It's fucking patronizing to infantilize disabled people - even ones with actual mental impairment. She's so infuriating because I think she truly does think she deserves special treatment and consideration and thinks that is equality and respect somehow.

I don't think I saw this earlier.
Otherwise I'm sure I would have noticed the Cardinal-headed Turkey there thats nearly as big as the cow! Its even bigger than that goat... and all 3 would have trouble fitting in the barn together.
The massive Sunflowers are amazing though, especially the one far off in the back thats like the size of a tree...
