If you're a foid and you have taken your husband's name, your birth certificate and your photo ID will probably have different last names, making the birth certificate ineligible for the SAVE act. Otherwise yes, you can take your birth certificate and ID together.

I ended up barely squeaking by getting mine. Turned out my birth certificate is lacking an attending physician's signature and a gender. Fortunately I had a passport from when I was like, ten which was enough for a manager to override it and approve.
