and, stud, you forget to factor in that we have lost exactly zero combat effectiveness.

do you know the difference, stud, in our military budget, and how much these things have cost to build?

they were 0.3% of our YEARLY military budget. and that was their total cost. and, because they were new when being built, it took longer and was more expensive. we consistently reduce and simplify these things once we're done with the basics. look at the reduction in cost for building something like the F-35, vs how much it cost to build 'the first one'. you're not factoring in anything in the context, you just look at 2.8b and say "That's a lot of money!" not for the MIC it's not. it's a drop in the fucking bucket.

this shit is there to be used. if we spend tens of billions of dollars on shiny fuckin' radar equipment and then do FUCK ALL while iran nuclearizes, what exactly was the fucking point of building it in the first place? when you buy a pair of boots for work, you expect them to get muddy, you don't cry every time a spec hits them like a nigger over jordans. you replace it with the money it costs and you continue business.
I posted this earlier but all advanced radars require LARGE amounts of Gallium, high quality Gallium too.
1773006711826.png

China controls 98% of the worlds Gallium supply, its not just a throwaway item, Gallium Nitrate is the bleeding edge tech to make modern high powered OTH radar systems
1773006828617.png

meaning our ability to make more of these is completely hinged on our ability to acquire the Gallium from China in addition to all the Neodymium we will need.

The money is only the tool im using to measure how much loss we have taken, if it was JUST money and this was a video game we would just press the "buy radar" button and the number indicating our cash would decrease and the Radar would magically appear fully assembled, this is not the world we live in.

There is a REASON there is only 15 of the AN/TPY-2

While the AN/FPS 2 is an unmitigated disaster to have lost, OUR best estimates say it will take 5 years to replace and its the only one of its kind outside of the United States borders

Iranian media has announced that there is a new Supreme Leader:

View attachment 8673032
Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei became the third leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran by the vote of the Assembly of Experts.

Mojtaba has come to the West for medical treatment for impotence, the podcast Cumtown has gotten his voicemails:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=AeD-y7_PTzg
CONTEXT:

Mojtaba Khamenei is not a senior cleric, nor was he preferred by his father. In fact his father indirectly ruled out his son succeeding him numerous times in public

Mojtaba is close with senior IRGC leadership, most of his buddies are dead, however. It is expected that senior Tehran IRGC leadership forced the clerics into choosing Mojtaba, and the civilian government is hoping that decisionmaking can be centralized quick enough before Israel assassinates him.
I doubt he will survive the month

i have linked you information on this before. did you start drinking again, dude? this is shit that happened almost exactly a year ago.

we have neodymium and gallium. you should know this already.

The Groyper movement is dead. Trump's base has zero problem with his "Zionist war" and his approval with his 2024 voters has barely budged.

The barely disguised demoralisation campaign that Marjorie Taylor Greene killed her career over failed because it's just... not real

Trump voters outside of twitter don't really have the same mindset as the young RW activists. Really they just want to go back to 1985 demographics and culture.
While the numbers are obviously skewed, I think the percentage of supporters after we attacked Iran is probably much higher than those prior, and I wouldn't doubt the numbers being something like 30-40% support prior on the Right to 70-80% after.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tucker has actually taken a decent hit on support for his current rhetoric. It might recover if this shit goes on for a month or so, but for now it's diminshed. Nick and Candace probably haven't taken as much of a hit, or at all, but if this ends up being successful, and especially if the US is successful with Cuba, all three will take a massive credibility hit, and Nick will probably lose all the ground in "mainstream" non-Eatablishment rightwing circles he's gained since Charlie Kirk got killed.

do we refine it buddy or do we send it to china to be refined, controlling the supply of refined gallium is what leads to that 98% number, not that 98% of all gallium is inside china.

But non of that changes the immediate reality's of loosing the only OTH radar we have in the region

retired US Army Colonel and form sec def advisor said this was akin to us "losing our eyes"

why the fuck wouldn't we refine it?

also, iran has been throwing missiles since then, and yet we've only had one more loss? we lost more guys when it was active than now. do you legitimately think the US is just blind and retarded? they've continued striking the shit out of iran. we still have complete air superiority, and they don't even have a navy, their vehicles are almost certainly reduced by a significant amount, their chain of command is completely destroyed, their government is scrambling constantly, their entire capital camera system is hacked, and they are just blindly lobbing missiles across the region trying to slam things into important infrastructure as a desperate last ditch effort to do as much damage as possible, like a thrashing toddler or a dying animal.

how are you going to watch what iran is doing, how they're getting absolutely fucking reamed by the IDF and USAF, and conclude that because the US will now need to spend 0.3% of the military budget on replacing these things in a region that, now that IRAN WILL BE OUT OF THE PICTURE, is not going to have nearly so many missile threats in the first place. you know, because iran is the primary funder of all the people throwing missiles at israel and US military bases and now everyone in the middle east? seriously, have you actually put any THOUGHT into this dude?

this is the same guy, dude.

absolutely fucking retarded. this man has no idea what he's talking about in any way, and he's quoting people who have serious TDS in their contextual worldviews. please, stud, DO BETTER RESEARCH on your sources! stop taking the first thing you get that looks good in google!

You are actually too clueless to effectively research this. Raytheon just delivered a few upgraded units to the US without a moment of downtime for the active THAAD batteries. How? Because this doesn't work the way you think it does.

The way the military measures these things isn't totally public information, nor as straight forward as counting completed and actively in use units.

The idea that this is an ireplacable asset even approaching "losing a destroyer" is lunacy. Its pretty bad, tens of millions of dollars of equipment. But the battery will be back at 100% in a few months.

There's a difference between being opposed to starting a war, and being opposed to winning a war. There is no cognitive dissonance involved in not wanting one's country to attack others, but wanting their country to win once a war has begun. Poll runners fail to recognize this.

why the fuck wouldn't we refine it?
beacuse its a complicated, messy, and environmentally taxing process we have next to no experience in and its WAY cheaper to just ship it to china and have them do it cause their government has spend 40 years and hundreds of billions developing a robust rare earth metals refining industry with home grown science and expertise that only comes with working with the product in question for years if not decades.

But dont worry we have already started working on this issue to,..... in Janurary

When its finally built (not been announced or even speculated when that will be) it will produce 50 metric tons of Gallium a year (on paper)

3 years ago China was making 606 gallons a year, it could be nearly as high as a 1,000 now.

The U.S. State Department has ordered American staff at the U.S. diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia to leave the country, citing rising security risks, following several Iranian drone attacks on the building and in the nearby area, according to NYT. The move marks the first ordered departure since the war with Iran began on Feb. 28.

An impact has been reported in Manama, Bahrain.

➡️ Smoke is filling the skyline of the capital.

➡️ Footage (second video) seemingly shows a Patriot interceptor malfunctioning.

no shade to you, i agree too, but do you have sources for the Raytheon replacements?

The US could produce substantial amounts of some critical materials it sources from China within just a few years, Harvey Kaye, a director of US Critical Materials Corp., said during an interview."
Great, so 5 to 8 years until a replacement can be produced is a realistic estimate.

Even if a replacement radar can be procured within 6 months, that's still a very long time during a war. Certainly the US has other systems that can pick up some of the slack. But if the destroyed radars were providing nothing to the US military, why were they maintained? Yes, America can undoubtly replace every single piece of equipment Iran destroys. In the short to medium term the US military can still be crippled in key areas.

i'm more and more justified in my dislike of the patriot missile defense system as the war moves on. also, what exactly is going on with middle east spectator guy? i'm bad at remembering these names, was he a pro-regime guy in another country? you answered this.
It was rumored he was a muslim convert living in the Netherlands, I believe, with his Iranian wife.

sounds like we should absolutely pound iran even harder then, make sure they can't launch another missile so it's not a problem. i agree.

seriously though, i don't think you and i will ever agree on this.
