Minnesota really needs stricter laws against elder abuse like this.

The resemblance is uncanny

The most above board explanation is that most of it went to the appeal counsel and/or the Asian guy (something like Hsu but its pronounced "Hugh", maybe?) who then brought in to try and save the case (I can't remember if they was the same guy or not).
Andy Hsu out of the firm of Martinez Hsu in Bedford, TX. His senior partner, Michael Martinez also worked on the case. IIRC, Martinez was actually doing most or all of the work at the very end.

But Ty seems to be the Platonic ideal of a shyster so he probably took every penny and more.
It's worth noting that Luther is basically asking two questions:

1. Did all the money from the GFM make it into the supposed IOLTA account, and was it all spent on Vic's case?
2. If yes, exactly how was it spent on Vic's case?

Some people are pooh-poohing the first question, but that really wouldn't moot his second question.

Most people familiar with this thing seem entirely receptive to the idea that Ty massively overbilled, while doing an incredibly shitty job. The results speak for themselves: The case got shot to hell fairly early on, despite a nearly $300,000 war chest, and Vic ended up having to pay the Defendants out of pocket due to the fee-shifting provision of anti-SLAPP.

Under that scenario, the relevancy to Nick here is that he recommended the fat incompetent idiot, and because Ty was a close family friend, he was able to have Ty on his show to discuss the case and make lots of money doing so. Likely by design. Ty obliged Nick on that... a lot. To the point where people here started asking if it was having a deleterious effect on Ty's ability to work on Vic's case. But for Nick, Vic would probably not have been put in touch with Ty.

Nick would also go on to screw, or try to screw, Vic in other ways. Such as with the knives, or selfishly trying to goad/guilt him into coming on his show to discuss the case and lambaste the Defendants (incredibly dumb idea).

EDIT: Elaboration. Typo.

Well sure, So I guess here's what I'm trying to say. as for part 1: I think we as good as known that all the money made it to Ty's IOLTA account - the process to get crowd funders to release funds for legal stuff is pretty well known at this point and it just has to go to an IOLTA account. As for part 2: after the Alex Stein video I think we pretty much know that Ty billed every cent of it and more - Vic was just too worn out from the process to want to go after Ty. If Nick was getting a direct referral fee it would have to have been disclosed to Vic and I don't think he would have kept it secret this long. The only real mystery IMO is how much of the GFM money went to Ty versus Martinez Hsu. I would hope that most of it went to M.H., but Ty is a POS so I just assume he billed every cent of the GFM.

So, guys, Nick Rekieta's kids weren't showing up for church smelly and unfed like it said in the report made to the police, and the warrant application. Also, the church has apologized to Nick.

This is according to... *checks notes* Nick Rekieta.

He claimed he was going to a new church on his streams.

He is spinning this (i.e. lying).

I would never recommend joining the military of any country to anyone. He should just find a way to pay the bills and rent or better yet, marry off if he can.
I normally agree, however it is a decent job and community for a young man who has lots of family problems, he also can learn a trade(mechanic) while he’s in the service. He’s probably too young though, he was like 15 or something when his parents were busted…I think?

I know some people in the service, but they were mostly civilian SOFA contractors.
If he wants to be a pilot or something, then that would be a good thing to do with all of the free training.

Aside from that, I wouldn’t recommend working a blue collar job. Low pay and mind numbingly boring. I also wouldn’t recommend an office job. Just go out and try to do something retarded and at least for me it’s gone both ways. In some ways it pays off and in others it crashes and burns, but at least you can become an author at the end of it all and sell books thereafter.

He doesn't have to worry about getting deployed, and provided he's the academic achiever Rackets says he is he can land in the Chair Force. Cushy stateside base, and they cover college, teach him some of the things his parents didn't.

I'm not sure if this will enlighten anything as I assume Nicki doesn't have many personal beliefs and Kayla would have picked the church based more upon location and music than creed, they attend an Evangelical Covenant Church.

In the mid-1800s people began immigrating to the United States from Sweden where some had experienced intense spiritual renewal. Seeking vital faith and church reform, they called themselves Mission Friends, and they focused less on the doctrinal arguments of the day and more on personal faith in Christ and Scripture as the center of their life together. They gathered in small groups to read the Bible, sing songs, and encourage one another in faith.

The Covenant was founded by some of these adventurous Swedish immigrants in 1885 and has become one of North America’s most diverse racial and ethnic denominations.

It basically is a sola Scriptura believing denomination but it's fine how you interpret the Scripture as there's not necessarily one right interpretation except you do have to agree that scripture says women can be ordained and the importance of intentionally pursuing ethnic diversity. As long as you agree with women and intentional diversity, you just have to proclaim their 6 vague affirmations you can be a member.

the centrality of the word of God,
the necessity of the new birth,
a commitment to the whole mission of the Church,
the Church as a fellowship of believers,
a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit, and
the reality of freedom in Christ

He is being shamed via religious evangelical "forgiveness." Someone is doing a deep dive into the new "summer" church he says he's now attending.

@Balldo's Gate , I've long suspected you are approximately local. Feel free to look up Open Church and do your thing. It's not hard to triangulate that Nick is there. The pastor is trying SO HARD.

Between Pastors Kevin Melin and Steve Bakke, it's pretty on point (New London and Spicer are both in play for Open Church). Bakke discussed David, Abigail (in which Nick later rebelled against post-arrest in his bible reading), and a lot more about what forgiveness and taking responsibility looks like for Christianity.

He, Bakke, also shamed his (large) congregation into NOT shaming the shamed. It's not what Christianity is about , etc.

Edit: Bakke discussed drugs, speeding tickets, and infidelity in one sermon.

Have you done a deep dive on Nick’s church? Very interesting indeed. They claim to be small c catholic. They oppose what they call “empty rituals” and denounce them but steal a bunch of stuff from the Mother Church. And they’re “new” and “next gen”.

Last I'll say tonight...

Nick laughing and shaming Detective Quin Pomplun BY NAME attending the early morning services at Open Door Christian Church—Nick's "new church"—while he attends the later service is wildly reckless. Or is it?

Where are the lies? Who knows! He never bothered to point any out. If it's full of lies, then it should be easy to address and thus an easy W on me. But nah, he's not going to claim this easy W.
Nick is such a punk-ass bitch you could just make up the most outrageous bullshit about him and not only would it eventually turn out true but it would be even worse.

is Nick punching himself again or did he catch ringworm from Melton the pedophile?

How could it not? GFM doesn't let you have access to someone else's money. If you've designated it for someone else, it can only go there. The question would be what happened to it after that.

Right, and he's also now going to claim they issued some groveling apology to him for (correctly) reporting child neglect because there was never any child neglect. He will never provide proof of such an apology (because it's bullshit), or he will claim it was delivered verbally (bullshit).

Until that CHIPS report leaked, never in my wildest dreams did I ever think this would end with a coked-up 8 year old. I am not sure anybody predicted that. Would be wild if it turned out somebody did.
