also IDF went on a raid on Hezbollah last night that went FULLY tits up

ALSO ALSO, looks like that "not attacking outher countires" was bullshit

So… assuming the desalination plant actually was bombed, what’s the ACTUAL reason, since while it could’ve been Israeli or American bloodlust I sorta doubt that. The most obvious answer is that it’s bullshit, followed up by an explosive failure due to poor maintenance before or during this conflict… but I could also feel that being a false flag to make their attackers look like savages, or they were using the plant for things OTHER than desalination (something related to their nuclear endeavors, maybe a munitions store they thought would be safe from being bombed due to the location, etc.).

Hard to say when this happened but it would be funny if it was recent.

According to Claude Opus Search:

There are three plausible scenarios, in order of likelihood:
  1. Collateral damage / secondary effects (most likely): The US was striking IRGC Navy installations on Qeshm Island (a legitimate military target in the Strait of Hormuz), and the desalination plant was damaged collaterally — either from nearby strikes, debris, or damage to the electrical grid powering it. Iran is then framing this as a deliberate attack on civilian water infrastructure for propaganda value.
  2. Exaggeration or false flag (possible): The plant may have suffered a malfunction, power disruption from broader grid damage, or minor/no damage, and Iran is inflating the incident to build a narrative justifying future attacks on Gulf desalination plants and to generate international sympathy.
  3. Deliberate US strike (least likely): The US deliberately targeted a civilian desalination plant. This would be strategically counterproductive, contrary to stated targeting principles, and would be a war crime — making it the least plausible explanation absent extraordinary evidence.

According to Grok:

Bottom line from current OSINT (as of March 7, 2026): A desalination/water facility on Qeshm was likely damaged amid verified strikes on nearby IRGC naval/military targets. Iran presents it as intentional targeting of civilian infrastructure to score propaganda points and justify escalation. Independent visuals confirming a precise, isolated hit on the plant (vs. broader area damage) are not yet public. The situation is fast-moving in an active war—more satellite/open-source imagery or on-ground reporting could clarify in coming days. Claims should be treated cautiously given the fog of war and strong incentives on the Iranian side to highlight civilian harm.

UK aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales placed on advanced readiness
"Keir Starmer reports that the UK will try to send its only other operational warship in support of the UK's national mission of worshipping muslims and browns... provided they can find enough sailors to fill out the crew. To that end, Mr. Starmer has informed the Ministry of Defense and Silly Walks that it should be prepared to deploy its F-35 squadrons... sorry, squadron singular, in support of the Ayatollah against Jewish and Crusader agression from US President and Criminal Donald Trump.

Mr. Starmer also assured the press & local imams that the empty space on the carrier that woud be filled by the F-35s that the UK is too poor to purchase will instead be filled with british girls aged 11 to 15 such they can be air dropped into Tehran to help alleviate the muslim population's sexual emergencies after this very stressful week. During a question and answer session, Mr. Starmer then remembered that Tehran was in what was histroically persia, and that he needs to make sure to include young boys as well, and informed an aide to make the arrangements."

The only tangible negative we're currently facing is oil prices. Iran being lucky that they happen to be positioned such that they can fuck around with oil trade is a big reason why we held off doing this kind of operation for so long. Oil prices are the only card they have to play, but it's a card everyone is terrified of them playing because they don't want to deal with the few weeks of higher prices.
Point of order:
The only negative EUROS & CHINKS are facing is oil prices. US pumps enough oil to meet our needs. Venezuela is back to pumping as much swamp sludge as they can to meet the zero-emissions regulations needs of the local turd world. And if the euros hasn't allowed thier russian-controlled "green party" to ban drilling in the north sea and instead subjugate themselves to Russia & its oil, and the Eternal Turkroach and its oil, the Euros wouldn't have to care either.

(yes yes global prices affect all all, its a sponge and all interconnected. But it'll take longer and affect the US left.)

@Ghostse
I’m not going to post an image of my hands, but you’d find them unremarkable. You raise a fair point about the funding of radical Moslem groups — obviously it would be good to put an end to that. Obviously it would be good if Iran were no longer ruled by insane religious clerics. I guess what I’m questioning is whether that goal is realistically achievable or, rather, whether it will be the worth the cost incurred in blood and gold.

Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, etc don’t seem to have gone so well, but I will concede that this may not be comparing like with like. Feels like the same thing to me though
You are either a troll or incredibly poorly informed and if solely poorly informed I would recommend you read thrugh this thead's highlights as your question is answered before this shit kicked into highgear.
There is an internal movement inside Iran strong enough the Government felt the need to murder 40,000 of its own citizens to suppress it. Those protestors have been told to shelter in their homes and avoid government buildings as they are being bombed.

So if the people of Iran want to not be ruled by Insane religious clerics, it looks like they will have their chance to make that desire a reality.
And if they do desire the rule of child-fucking death cultists, they will need to spend a long time and a lot of resources to rebuild their ability to export terror to the west.

I think half the reason America hasn't bothered to kill this guy yet is to prove to the world how useless he is.
The US hasn't killed him, or targeted him, because he is the official elected leader of Iran. Not someone who stole his election comically like Maduro, and not an appointed-via-unelected-body-designated-a-terrorist-group like the Ayatollah, he won a legitimate election and thus cannot be yeeted nor assassinated.

The fact he's completely cucked and worthless is just a benefit.

Disgusting commie dating.
I'm not even going bother asking him to post hands. That commie dating format tells me everything I need to know.

We did have shorter deployments than the Army (typically 6-7 months vs 18 months)
Oh yeah, I forgot about that fucking shit. Fuckign chairforce pogs.

ANG is super chill, Air Force Reserves is also worth considering. Airmen that go active-to-reserve (Palace Chase) are looked upon with envy.
I would mention reserves but it is helliciously hard to get a "full time reserve" job, especially coming in as a recruit. IF you're good with part-time, its great I've heard.

The real dream was full-time Air Force National Guard Reserve. All your command staff was guys just wanting to milk a couple more years near where they were going to retire to maximize retirement and would do whatever it took to make that time go smoothly. No one wanted to shake things up, or be moto, or gave a solitary fuck about advancement - just don't fuck up in a way the major or Lt. Col can't sweep under the rug before anyone sees.

An AN/TPY-2 radar of the US Army destroyed by an Iranian kamikaze drone at the Royal Air Force base "Mufaffak Salti" in Jordan. Cost per unit is 500 million
Unlike the russian version these are still in production though.

With the assistance of intelligence provided by both the CIA and Mossad and having their path to strike cleared by American airstrikes. The Americans had just as much of a part in that assassination as the Israelis even if they didn't release those bombs. Smol bean American military didn't actually mean to kill an enemy leader they just helped in every step of the operation to kill him.

this is intresting, im super zoomed in on the straight of Hormuz and want to show yall somthing

Our stalwart British allies everyone.

"We didn't do shit, when we did shit we were completely unprepared for what we'd been told repeatedly would happen, and are really disppointed that the Americans we didn't help and we denied use of our bases didn't defend us as strongly as we would have liked".

Again, can we regime change the UK next please?

So… assuming the desalination plant actually was bombed, what’s the ACTUAL reason, since while it could’ve been Israeli or American bloodlust I sorta doubt that.
most likely bullshit, followed by it wasn't actually a desalination plant at all but some other sort of facility disguised as one, followed by collateral damage. Final option is preparation for sieging the island and making it maximally expensive for defenders to hold.

The Ukrainian government will of course insist on doing this type of stuff in Ukraine so they can commit acts of fraud as seen with literally every military related investment in the country.
You don't need to specify "military related" as the sort of investment subject to fraud. Its a slavic nation like Serbia and Russia, and any investment in any Slavic country is naturally going to be subject to utterly wanton, nearly cartoonish acts of fraud and attempted fraud.

buddy, ive been saying this since that CSG got chased out of the red sea 3 f-18s lighters, we cannot patrol constricted waters close to hostile coasts anymore, land based ship weapons are devastating,
