Part of the thing with Jim's opponents is that they were all spergs desperate to get a win over him, and they were all too stupid and malicious to actually figure out how to properly do so. Jim just had to be the cool, reasonable guy who was merely calling out their poor behavior. Which they were all obviously guilty of which only added to their frustrations and crashouts. This is largely true. He very often put himself into situations where he theoretically would have a disadvantage, but everyone who ever tried to take him down a peg has been underprepared or an idiot. That's not to say he wasn't sharp, but he's never really had to try and he's never had to defend an unpopular opinion either. Sargon or Fuentes could probably crush Jim in a debate as he is now though, since apparently he can't even be bothered to argue a point anymore.
The reason why Sargon failed so badly against Jim because initially there really wasn't anything for the two debate. Their big debate after the Richard Spencer-Sargon debate on Andy Warski's stream was just Jim sitting there saying that he thought what Sargon was currently doing was cringe and was going to backfire horribly on him. Sargon meanwhile was just unhinged at the fact that Jim said he has a giant ego and wouldn't publicly support him in his political endeavors.
Later on during their feud it was impossible for Sargon to ever look good because he was crashing out horribly. Meanwhile, all Jim was pointing out was all the dumb drama and gay ops Sargon was involved with. It isn't like they were debating policy objectives or ideas. You had a guy acting like an idiot publicly and a guy who was just pointing out how he was acting like an idiot. Same thing applies to Jims 2022 debate with Fuentes.
