Forgive my ignorance here-but I have seen no evidence the Iranian state is collapsing, spawn camp as many leaders as you like I guess-but the actual organizational apparatus of the IRCG, the clerical body and the civilian leadership doesn't seem remotely destroyed yet.
I want you to imagine tomorrow a martian invasion fleet parks itself in low orbit and announes "Stay in your homes. We are only at war with your government. We are here to help you liberate yourself and do not intend to harm you" and proceeds to only use their Martian Death Rays only on the government, anyone who doesn't draw a paycheck funded by tax payers is safe unless a Politican gets ZZT'd right next to them and they inhale some hot ash and sneeze.
How much would this actually affect your daily life? Would this actually impair yor ability to go to work? the store? school?
That is what is going on right now. The US and Israel are not at war with the Iranian people, just government.
And really, they aren't at war with the government.
You need to realize there are two parallel governments and two parallel militaries in Iran.
there are the Mullahs and the IRGC, and there is the Elected Governent and the Iranian Armed forces. The US is only hunting down the former, the unelected, unofficial group controlling shit behind the scenes and working the strings.
They claim they don't the country, that they are republic and democratic. But the mulllahs say who is and isn't allowed to run in elections. They say who is and isn't allowed to work for the government. IF they don't like what you do or say, they have you branded an apostate, or a counter-revolutionary, or a threat to the state and have you arrested, thrown in a prison where you have no rights, and very likely have you executed. They do this because the IRGC is their armed wing and no one has enough firepower to go against them.
Iran has used this 'separation of powers' before to troll the world. "No no IRan isn't funding and arming Hesbollah. This is not a state action. We are not monitoring the activities of the IRGC and do not care to comment on their actions, therefrore you can't sanction us or order us to pay reparations in international court :smug""
So the reason Iran isn't collapsing into complete anarchy is that it isn't supposed to. Just the pedoworshipping filth at the top is being scraped away so the Iranian people can take back their government. Hence no powerplants being hit, no bridges, no roads, no railroads, no harbors just the IRGC ships moored there.
This is also the beautiful thing.
The US and Israel have thus
not been attacking Iran, they have simply been attacking two oganizations based in Iran. Thus their strikes are technically legal.
The elected Iranian president is still alive. Most of his cabinent and ministers are. Regular Iranian Army, Airforce, and Navy have not been targeted except for active air defense sites and even then they only hit the posts run by the regular army only after bombing the IRGC installations for msot of a full day. That is, if you are a Iranian Army missileer, you got sufficient heads up "Maybe I shoudn't report for duty today. Maybe I shouldn't remain at my post".
the US and Israel have, currently, no intention to go to war with Iranian people or their elected government. Only the corrupt, retarded violent, and ineffective puppet masters that run things from the shadows to allow them cravenly extract wealth from the state without regard for the damage they cause while doing so.
The whole point of

my headcanon is that some iranian city will fall into rebel hands at some point in the coming weeks (possibly with US special forces involvement)
then the burgers will airdrop reza pahlavi in there to set up a rebel government and try to raise an army of anti regime iranians. american support (airstrikes, supplies, weapons, intel sharing) would then enable these rebel forces to win their civil war, end the islamic republic, and restore the imperial state of iran.

what you are describing is the plan. US has glowies and very like Green Berets on the ground getting the people ready. You haven't seen anything go down because Pahlavi and the Trump have told the Iranian people to shelter in place
they are monitoring the situation because they are leveling every fucking bit of it IRGC infrastructure and all their missiles sites and they do not want any innocent Iranians caught in the carnage. If Iranians started taking over government offices, they wouldn't be ablle to tell who is protestor and who is IRGC filth that needs to die.
Green Beret's whole purpose is to work with indigenous forces, help them organize and in general make life difficult for any non-americans and things easier for Americans. Satotage, intel, organizing resistance, safe houses ... these are subjects Green Berets are experts in. You almost never hear of them or their activities
because you aren't supposed to. You really only see the people they have trained.

Israel was happy to let things sit as they were in 2021. Hamas launches 20 or so rockets every year,Hezbollah runns part of Lebanon. But its fine, no need to worked up. Just shrug and iron dome the next one.

Now you have Palestininans starving in ruined cities, pictures broadcast live in 4K and all the usual Muslim defenders going "See?
