The islamist revolution would have happened whether the US/UK-backed Shah/royalist faction or the Soviet-backed National Front/socialist faction were in power.

Khommeni was effectively a non-aligned third party who successfully seized power; and suppression of the National Front party by the Islamic Republic shows that the islamists would have made their move against either faction regardless.

Is it bad I just don't even care about this? I mean it wasn't even a month ago we had leftist radicals killing cops because they where deporting and arresting pedophiles in this country. Why should I even care about Iran.
