What the hell is Zionism? I heard people claiming the belief that Israel can exist is Zionist. Is it true?
Its merely the idea that Jewish people should have a place of their own that they can flee to if they get kicked out of a country en-mass. The problem they've had throughout history is that whenever a population of theirs gets kicked out of a city, kingdom, nation, empire, etc all at once, no one, including Jewish people in other countries, wants a massive number of refugees. Obviously that was a problem as shown in Europe in the 1930s and 1940s. So having a dedicated place that, by law, has to accept Jewish refugees in any amount as quickly as possible, Jewish people don't risk being stuck in a country that really hates them.
There's literally no good argument against Zionism. The main reason why Muslims hate Zionism is that in the Islamic faith, Jewish people aren't supposed to be converted but instead taxed and thus serve as generators of wealth. This is essential for Islamic countries because they really suck at wealth generation. So its very offensive to many Muslims in that region for Jewish people to have an independent states instead of being their tax payers. The reason why Israel and the Arab monarchies are able to get along is that Israel helps them out and, in effect, voluntarily pays the Jizya in the form of geopolitical services while still remaining independent.
