The base was evacuated of all non-essential personnel beforehand. Also, to clarify, the Fifth Fleet does not have any aircraft carriers assigned to it. Destroyers may rotate through temporarily, but it's not their homeport. Bahrain is basically a support facility for US naval activity in the CENTCOM AOR.

It's hilarious how the groypers are talking about the "great noticing" yet the only noticing I see is how leftists and so called human rights advocates are openly siding with the Islamic regime. The same people who are telling us "You can't free a country by killing its people" in Iran openly celebrated October 7th.

I’ve been talking with a few of them about that.
A lot of them think that the Democratic Party has been infiltrated by Muhammadans (cough Tliab and Omar cough) and anti-zionists/antisemites whatever. But when it comes to who they’re voting for, it’s always an “eh” answer. I suppose it’d be better to give you a response come November.

I'm certain they have tried. However you can bet that the carriers are sitting in the center of a shit ton of other ships that are dripping with phalanx anti-missile systems, on top of every other ECM and defense known to humanity, specifically because shooting at the carriers is such an obvious move for anyone to make. The US' entire military projection hinges on carriers and everyone knows it. It would require legendary luck for anything the Iranians have to get even remotely close to one.
