Imagine a physical relic granting unimaginable powers, acquired at the end of the story by combining three fragments, each locked behind a considerable challenge for the hero to overcome in his life's adventure starting with nothing from Level 1, against all imaginable odds, such as defeating the villain organization up to the highest levels of conspiracy(trolls, detractors and youtube algorithm), saving a magical princess from evil (married Khet), lastly proving courage and demonstrate personal growth (became healthy, new setup, stopped begging)in the face of fear and despair. its acquisition marks the end of an epic journey and grants the hero a wish powerful enough to end wars and restore peaceful times after long lasting conflict, It is a symbol for the forces of Good prevailing in the face of Evil, a final departure from hatred and death towards compassion and eternal harmony. That is the significance Phil assigns to each Welcome Home cycle
the issue with that is the credits roll right afterwards and the hero wakes up again at level 1 in a different timeline of the next game doing the same shit again. each cycle just turns him more and more miserable and pathetic
